Visited on a Saturday lunchtime. Lovely freshly made sandwiches/baguettes with a huge choice of fillings, service couldn’t have been friendlier. Looking forward to trying out more of the menu!

How this place is still open baffles me! We were charged over the price on the board, & the service was so slow. The two women running the cafe were So rude & unfriendly. They acted as if we had insulted them for asking for the cucumber slices, which were missing from our tuna & cucumber ciabatta’s, then proceeded to give us dirty looks the whole time we were sat there. We witnessed a young girl come to be served, who was Completely ignored by the woman behind the counter, she didn’t even look up from her phone, despite being stood right in front of the young girl, so the young girl ended up walking away with her head down, having not been served. We also saw how the young assistant dropped a piece of cake on the floor & had to pick it up, pay for it & take it with her when she left. Absolutely disgusting service!! DON’T GO THERE!! Go over the road instead, the bar staff were so friendly when we went for coffee over there.

Really rude staff and overpriced for the cheapest most basic, dry sandwiches, didn’t even provide all of the ingredients listed when ordering so had to go to the counter to ask for it. The slowest service i’ve ever had. The peppermint tea had no taste at all and saw a customer go to the counter to be served and the staff member didn’t even look up from her phone so the poor girl walked off. No please or thank you’s and pretty sure i was overcharged. I honestly wouldn’t go back here if it was free. The atmosphere was more depressing than a funeral. Save your money and go elsewhere!

It always amazes me how rude the staff are, yet the business continues to run. I feel like I am inconveniencing them when I order which is laughable. I say staff but I think it's the owner, which is unfortunate at best. A service with a smile goes a long way, unfortunately it appears that mentality is not shared in this shop, which is disappointing.

Great salad to take away and was tempted by a cake and coffee.New lady behind counter, not seen her before- both ladies were really friendly and welcoming!

Lovely relaxed cafe and coffee shop with large range of sandwiches, panini, baguettes, salads and home made cakes. Sofas and WiFi. What more could you possibly want?!

Amazing flat white but charged over £8 for a dry toasted ciabatta with no side - rip off. Wish I’d gone to the pub down the road.

The food here was good and the coffee excellent! The staff willingly did what we asked of them, no problem. The people moaning that the staff weren't 'friendly' enough for them need to grow up and stop being so judgemental of others who don't conform to their neurotypical standards of 'normality'!

Called in yesterday for coffee and cake but won’t return! Coffee and cake was lovely but service was very slow and ladies serving were rude and terse to say the least. This seems to be the theme of all comments so perhaps the owner doesn’t care! We will go next door next time!

Great coffee, and good to visit a distinctive place that is not the usual chain of coffee shops.

The owners obviously don’t read the reviews on here!. Whilst it’s popular with pensioners the lack of atmosphere and miserable staff isn’t selling the place, I’ve seen happier staff at a funeral!. There is a large and varied menu but the panini and wrap we ordered were very basic with no side salad or crisps as you would expect somewhere else.

The Coffee Shop is bang in the middle of the village, and very convenient for a lovely cup of coffee or tea. Lots of choices of cakes set out on the counter. A friend and I sat there for over 2 hours with our cuppa, enjoying a proper natter. Some reviews on here seem unnecessarily harsh. Be nice and you will get nice returned. We've never had a bad cake, sandwich, salad or coffee here, and we often visit.
