I have visited this place several times, but the last twice the Sunday lunches have been awful, more so the last time when the beef was unchewable, pork was dry. The veg was bland, and the gravy was tasteless. Before people start wondering why didn't we let the staff know at the time- we did! The response was a shrug of the shoulders, and it was obvious from the amount of food that was left on all the plates that no one enjoyed it. Not just our table, either.Sadly, we won't be visiting again.

Looking for a quick bar snack midway through our journey and although we were right on the wire when the kitchen was meant to close the staff allowed us to order our food which ultimately delayed them in closing and for that we were really grateful and it was tasty
We stayed for one night and had food in the pub. The accommodation was basic but fine for a night. In the pub we ordered the nachos, a steak and ale pie and the veggie lasagne. Food was really tasty, portion sizes were enormous and service was quick. Its a cosy pub with an open fire but shame about the tv screens!Nearby activities: Perfectly located for walking in the Elan Valley

They were very accommodating to our large group (30 people) that dropped in on them for lunch unannounced.Food was great, the burgers were tasty, the lasagne looked amazing and the bacon & cheese smother fries were great.

Good little pub, service from staff was a bit hit and miss as the bar was busy so this didn’t bother me that much, the food was nice and it was reasonable priced.
