Hi we have just been into SMH for dinner with friends, I've not been before but I was told to expect a pleasant meal in nice surroundings. Well I'm home now with a warm after cocktail glow and a memory of a meal the likes of which I've not had in quite a while. It was excellent.We only had a couple of starters between four, the meatballs and haddock tails. Both were hot, tasty and just the right amount of lightly battered fish to let my wife nick one and still have enough.I then had the salmon and the others had seafood spaghetti and two different types of burger. All the dishes arrived together, they were all steaming hot, wonderfully presented and perfectly cooked.Every dish was spot on, imaginative and wonderfully tasty. It was all served by very young looking staff who were efficient and unobtrusive. They tended table smoothly and without fuzz we couldn't fault them.Then I got the bill.I had to check. We had a mid range bottle of wine, four glasses of prosecco, two starters and four of the best plates of food we'd eaten in a long time and still had change out of £150!Go to this restaurant. Use it regularly if you can. Support it, cherish it they deserve to succeed and don't get upset it they put their prices up by a quid a dish it'll still be great value for money.6 stars if I could.

What a find ! I needed somewhere I could work from for the afternoon and the following morning. From the reservation to breakfast. The attention to detail and the personal care was 100%. I felt looked after and would highly recommend. The evening meal was lovely and every part of the hotel is perfectly designed and luxury.

We visited twice during our recent stay first for food , second just for drinks and on both occasions were so impressed with the service . The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. When we had food it was really good quality. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Anglesey.

O dear such a beautiful place let down by your staff . Cold soup and bar tender that grunts but doesn’t speak. Surely you could do better?In the plus side the food was lovely after complaining! And dogs are welcome.

SMH has benefits, its pretty. There are too many tables filling the bar, you can't circulate and meet various friends. I always ignore the dreadful "Wait here to be seated" table at the door. Why have one, the main bar is a pub. Staff need proper training, many don't have a clue, you can wait half an hour for drinks that are sitting waiting on the hatch. We have been many times, summer and winter. The food can occasionally be outstanding and other times awful. It is really hit and miss. Prices are rather high. Dogs are encouraged but many owners overdo it with several dogs at busy night times. I'm sure the dogs hate it. If it had great food and much better trained staff it could be brilliant. It's just not consistant

Best restaurant we have been to on Angelsea. Dog friendly and modern. Camenberre was excellent, so was mushroom starter. Lamb Henry leg of lamb beautiful. Only moan, our waiter was not on the ball, missed cuttlery, didn't refill drinks, didn't check in to see if everything OK.
The most amazing restaurant a few minutes walk from the beach. We booked in for a roast dinner which was good but the dessert was incredible! It has a nice atmosphere with beautiful decor. Can’t wait to return in the summer.

We stayed at the Sandy Mount House for 1 night 2 days. This hotel was the nicest in terms of staff members, decor, interior, and food. We could not fault this place. We took our dog with us and she stayed in the room with us. The beach was a 2/3 minute walk away. We had breakfast included in our booking price (again we could not fault the breakfast) Full English came out on a hot plate and tasted beautiful. We had a ‘pre room service breakfast’ (part of the booking too) which was delivered to our door before we then went down for our main breakfast! Amazing…. We are about to book to stay again and we have shared with lots of family and friends who want to now stay too…

After a disappointing precious visit a year or so ago, we decided to give the place another go. We were not disappointed this time. The place was warm and cosy and the service from Charley was excellent! The food was great too. Dogs are welcome and snacks are provided.
