Wonderful local pub with very nice ownership and staff. Unpretentious and welcoming to all, even well behaved dogs. The food was very good and a good selection of ales, lagers, and ciders. Dedicated darts area and a pool table. Had a wonderful night here in Oct of 2023. The pub dog Nico is a handsome sweet beast. The crowd at the bar sang us out as we left. Can’t get better than that.Vegetarian options: Cheesy veggie bake and others

Looking for a ‘proper pub’ with real ales, great Guinness, a choice of ciders and a place for hilarious conversation? This is the place to go in Sennybridge. Nick, Jude and Tracey could not have made us more welcome during our brief four day visit. The food was wholesome and tasty and prepared to order. The steaks we had were tender and delicious. Village pubs should be like the Red Lion We will be back.

We stopped there accidentally on our way home and we never regretted it. Great, friendly atmosphere. Amazing customer service. Delicious food and drinks. And the sweetest (but very shy so be gentle or you will scare him!) rottweiler Nicko. Highly recommended!

The only place we could find to eat late on a Sunday, but turned out to be a great spot. The staff (owners?) were really friendly and great hosts, letting us taste the local ales and even left tokens in the jukebox for us to use.We will be sure to visit again should we be in the area!

Called in after my son's rugby, I had the meat balls and pasta which was lovely. The landlord was very engaging and served a great pint. Thanks for your hospitality

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you, food at the right price and a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and proper cellar cooled ales.

Nic and Jude are fantastic hosts. And even the gentle giant Nico comes for a cuddle once he knows you. Great drinks and super homemade food by Jude. We liked going there every evening during our stay in Sennybridge!

Really lovely couple who runs the place. Playing pool is fun and food is great. It’s really good atmosphere, must go place if you are visiting Brecon.

Friendly pub, absolutely terrible pizza and questionable hygiene (kitchen staff)

An amazing little gem! The staff and owners are so friendly especially Tracy the bar lady who made our night with her lovely company. They serve a lovely pint also and will be back when we are next in the area?

Amazing hospitality, the landlady and landlord made us feel very welcome. Great pints and a great laugh. It was great to meet Nico the dog also.

The lovely owners of this pub welcomed us in before opening time to let some very wet walkers in from the rain, this pub has a lot of character, we will visit again when we are next in the area!
