Nice pub, good atmosphere, friendly staff, but worst burger I ever ate in my life, and it's not the cheapest either 18£ ? It looks like was warm up in microwave, seems nice from the picture, but meat was horrible.

This is a typical locals pub with amazing home cooked food and great service. I would definitely recommend this place.Vegetarian options: Cauliflower cheese as a main was fab. Very cheesey!!

Never open, wonder how they can refer to "regulars" or how they make a living for that matter! We were staying nearby and enjoying the wonderful area, fortunately there are many other excellent establishments close by.

First time visit here. A warm welcome from the staff and excellent service. Good pub fayre plus specials with generous portions. A great stop on a circular walk from Whitestone car park. Dog and walking boot friendly. Might do that walk more often.

Went in for a quick pint as staying locally for a night. Super friendly and chatty bar staff which meant we came back later for more drinks and a meal. A great local place with caring staff and great home cooked food. Small but great menu which meant the kitchen could handle all dishes and keep the quality high. Would highly recommend this over other local options.Open log fire is always a bonus in the winter.
Reserved a table for five to celebrate my elderly mother’s birthday today. The food was superb, the service was extremely warm and welcoming, and the ‘proper pub’ atmosphere was fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for better, and will certainly be back before too long.A big thank you to all the staff for a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all.

Stayed in Tintern for our little post anniversary getaway and walked past this a few times, so thought we’d try it for our evening meal. Great portion sizes, proper tasty pub food and lovely ambience. Service was impeccable and the staff were really, really friendly. Shame it’s not open again before we go home.

Sunday lunch. Portions were vast. Even the child's portions were too much for 3 elderly adults. The food was okay. The roast meat was freshly carved and well cooked. There were a good variety of vegetables. The issue was that it was served with everything on the plate when it came to the table. Our group of 4 all felt that the gravy should have been served separately. The plates were swamped with thick gravy. We felt that if the veg and gravy had been served so that we could have helped ourselves we'd have enjoyed our meal more. The deserts were great! We wouldn't rush back for Sunday lunch.
