I called in this Cafe today after been told its nice there. I waited by the bottom of the stairs as notice advised I will be given a place to sit. Waited a few min and received no attention walked up to the counter where 2 of the staff were talking to a customer and still no attention so I left and will never return there again. Found a nice cafe a few door down where I was made welcome.

It was our first visit to Treorchy, really impressed with the amount of independent traders and how busy the town was, not like our local which is neath. We wanted a coffee and a bite to eat and came across hot gossip which we thought we'd give a try as it looked busy inside which is always a good sign. We placed our order and was served very promptly considering how busy it was in there. The coffee was hot and delicious and the food was plentiful and very tasty all in all great value for money and a great experience, we'll definetly be visiting again. Just remember it's CASH ONLY which isn't all bad 5 stars staff were very friendly

Cosy little cafe, perfect for a coffee and a catch up with friends. Always very busy so may struggle to get a seat.

The go to place to eat in Treorchy. It's one of the best places to eat on one of the best High Streets in Great Britain. There is always a specials board in addition to the main menu. Don't go here if you want a greasy spoon with chips. This is sophisticated eating in the area with a great atmosphere.

Have visited here before it’s a nice little coffee shop and the food on previous occasions has been quite nice. Very disappointed yesterday however, the staff weren’t particularly friendly and the food was bland and tasteless. The cappuccino tasted like warm milk, definitely not worth the money.

Stopped off for a Coffee the place was very clean the food was good but the only reason I gave 4 ? was because the scones were quite small

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Lovely welcoming staff, great food and the added bonus of live music ? from the Lonely Hearts! Ended up staying a lot longer than planned ?????

We were recommended this by one of our friends who has family in the area. The place we were staying, Cardiff Arms Hotel and Bistro don't serve breakfast! So we went to this place at about 9.15am as it opened up at 9am. Sign on the door saying cash only. Good job we had some! Very deceiving from the outside as it looked quite small, but when you walk in it went right the way back and there was an upstairs space for over 18's. Two ladies were working and the place was already busy. One lady brought the menus over and said to come to the counter to order. I asked was it too early for a salad. She smiled and said everything on the menu is served from 9am. Because I have horrendous dietary need. GF, DF and coeliac it is hard to eat out. But there was a quite a lot I could have. I opted for a chicken salad. My husband went for poached eggs on toast with a sausage. The menu wasn't too long, but had a good selection to choose from. I went to the counter. Ordered our food. The lady went though all the things I could have in the salad in bowls by the counter. I pointed out 2 things I couldn't have. We sat by the window, the place was light spacious and clean. Tables not sticky or dirty. The lady came over to me again and offered more things to have as I wasn't having all the things in the chiller cabinet. Nice of her to ask, but I declined. Food turned up. An amazing bowl quite large filled to the brim with salad and chicken strips on top. The chicken was very succulent thankfully. Not dry like in a lot of places. My husbands eggs must have been free range as they had extremely orange yolks. He said they were lovely. The sausage didn't look too great, a bit insipid and he said it didn't really taste of anything. The experience was pleasant and VERY good value. The food and cappuccino came to £12....or so. If we come back to this area, we will definitely go again. Maybe for lunch next time
