108 Bute St, TreorchyDuring all this time of fake opportunistic price hikes in energy, fuel and food, that has disgustingly been allowed by the UK government, this wonderful place completely bucked the trend, and never once jumped onto the bandwagon, and succumb to the avarice shown by everyone else in this country.Their prices never changed, and the food was the same with the same amounts of each item.The food is fantastic value, as it's always been. It's always freshly made and served by happy, friendly and competent staff. A bargain for me are the breakfast choices, and I go nowhere else, I see no need to.

Hot Gossip
114 Bute St, TreorchyIt was our first visit to Treorchy, really impressed with the amount of independent traders and how busy the town was, not like our local which is neath. We wanted a coffee and a bite to eat and came across hot gossip which we thought we'd give a try as it looked busy inside which is always a good sign. We placed our order and was served very promptly considering how busy it was in there. The coffee was hot and delicious and the food was plentiful and very tasty all in all great value for money and a great experience, we'll definetly be visiting again. Just remember it's CASH ONLY which isn't all bad 5 stars staff were very friendly

Valley Kebab Shop treorchy
4 High St, TreorchyThanks for little extra paper wrapping, un-asked for, that kept food warm in the 10mins or so it took to ride back to Treherbert in sub-zero temperatures. My fingers didn't survive, but food was nice temperature when I got home to enjoy. I was eying up trying to borrow one of the insulated bags they had for delivery drivers, but actually, everything arrived home fine. And generous portion (medium kebab would be 2 days food for me when not training). Thank you.Just, think they could better with prep on onions and tomatoes, especially later in evening, when perhaps tomatoes look worse than they taste. Perhaps chop a little more at that point and combine with better chopped onion, so they taste the same, but look better? Chilli sauce also a little too sweet, perhaps. Overall, good.Almost certainly I'll be back at some point!

131 Bute St, TreorchyCalled in one day in the week and the girl serving looked so deflated because she was all on her own and there was about 9 of us in the queue just as the school kids started coming in.She kept apologising about the wait when it clearly wasn't her fault.
