Me and my daughter had a lovely meal here today , my daughter had a steak and bacon baguette meal , I had the rodeo burger it was really nice , and the staff was on point .

Went back to the lion after a rememberance day parade big pub with only 4 others in it due to a small fire in the kitchen the previous day so food was unavailable. Bar staff very cheerful and polite. Plenty of TV screens showing sky sports. Only drawback was the pub was freezing cold, only stayed for 2 pints then left looking for a warmer place to drink.Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent.
Went for a cake and a coffee . Ordered the coffee only to be told couldn't have one as the staff didn't know how to work the machine . Then ordered a desert only to be told what I ordered was not available so ordered something else but was again told not available so ended up with just a cup of tea . The poor staff apologised. Will not be returning pity as I was told it was a good place to eat but not from my experience.

Reserved ahead, still waited an hour for Sunday roast which was poorly cooked and with only two choices of meat. Seating? You have to play musical chairs to find one that hasn’t fallen apart, floors sticky from beer spillage and deco grungy. Also short changed while paying with a grunted apology. Very disappointed, the Lion really doesn’t deliver.

Food was insane, proper homemade chips, pizzas and flatbreads were the best I’ve had, propper stone baked pizza. nice looking pub aswell love the decor inside

I'd recommend the lasagne was lovely.
