If you like excellent pub food this is the place. It cannot be bettered locally. Chef Peter is excellent and the menu changes regularly. This is really worth a trip to visit

We went with friends for a booked Sunday Lunch. As a family-run establishment, it was just as you'd want and expect. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the beer was well kept and the food was both reasonably priced and stunning.Faultless!

Lovely meal. We had the Guinea Fowl and the Venison, we both enjoyed. Staff very friendly and we had a good chat with the Chef. Would definitely revisit and would recommend if you are nearby.

Lovely, quiet with fantastic food. Got myself Monk Fish and it was delicious, soft and Juicy inside and crispy outside, with light coconut milk. Staff was friendly and very polite. Easy access to the restaurant, with w local shop opposite to it.

A lovely country pub although no draft beer, there is a choice of bottled beers. Although limited choices, the food is tasty and dietary requirements can be catered for. You won't be disappointed but do check that they are open before you travel.

We had an excellent meal here recently. The chef and his wife were very attentive making sure everything was right for us. The meals were a little different, I had the belly pork which I really enjoyed but it was different to anything I had tasted before. we shall certainly stop here again when going past

Dined here on last night of a family break. A warm welcome, dog friendly and the food was fantastic, we’ll make a point of coming back. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this pub, thanks for a nice night out. Kiwi Paul & family & Coco the Kooiker.

This could easily have been a five star review. But....Front of house welcome from the land lady was uncomfortable and awkward. Her daughter was very bright and friendly though. We felt the portion size of accompaniments was a bit mean. If this had been doubled this meal would have been pretty much perfect. We felt too uncomfortable to ask for more. The positives....The Inn is clean as a pin, not a speck of dust anywhere, prices were reasonable for the food quailty. The food we did get was really tasty, fresh and homemade. The sauce with my steak was yummy as were the dauphinois(though not enough of them) My steak was tender and nicely cooked. My partner had lamb rump, which was cooked perfectly. The chocolate roulade was heavenly.I'm sad not to be able to rate higher.
