It has always been a great experience but sadly something has gone wrong. The menu is no longer containing traditional meals, with the exception of fish and chips, and the staff we experienced were not the usual pleasant ones. We heard others remarking on the same points, very sad affair.

Best meal I have had in a long time, every member of staff was very polite and helpful and the taxi button was a life saver given the torrential rain.

Consistently outstanding service. We stop off after every Wrexham match and it’s always faultless.

Food was great, as usual for Brunning & Price. They were very accommodating for our large group, and the tables by the fireplace were perfect for a cold winter’s day.The reason I’m giving it a 4*, is that the service was extremely slow. We weren’t too bothered as we had nothing else on, and it was more of a leisurely lunch. But 3 courses and drinks for our group of 8, took about 3 hours in total.

Fantastic ! My brother and I came down to buy a new car from Volkswagen and found this place literally up the road from the dealership. We were travelling 2+ hours each way so needed a good spot for food.Although busy I haven’t a bad word to say about the staff, all were super friendly and sorted us a fresh clean table for 2 after the previous eaters had left. We were greeted by a lovely lady who sent us to the bar to wait for a drink. My brother got a pint of Guinness and even though we grew up in Ireland he said it was a really good Guinness which is rare to get outside of Ireland. We were served by Rob M who was absolutely delightful. He recommend a dish as I was torn and said to try the lamb as it has been really popular I took his suggestion and wasn’t disappointed. He checked on us to make sure we were okay for drinks and that the food wasn’t going to be long.Considering it was so busy our food came relatively fast and was hot fresh and scrumptious. Rob M came to check on us during and after and I must say he gave such a warm feeling to us and made us feel almost at home. Rob M in my opinion is a quality host and does his job fantastically - great guy.The place itself is so well organised with staff, it boasts beautiful original features throughout with some great artwork. There is also a big fire that was lit where near we were sat.The place was very clean even down to the cutlery and the napkins were great quality.Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Just wish I was closer to call more.It is part of a company that also own Sutton hall in Macclesfield which I have also been to. Their menu is dated and it is updated regularly so it does change but there is always something that catches my eye. It takes ‘pub grub’ to the next level. Please visit if you are near.Parking: Plenty of parking space near the door and surrounding. However, I did not come across a disabled parking space which I normally use.Wheelchair accessibility: There is lots of parking, but I didn’t come across disabled parking. It is flat inside and would be easy to get a wheelchair through. Tables are quite high so a chair would fit under. There is a ladies restroom at the front of the establishment however I cannot comment on a disabled toilet as I did not need this at the time.

Quirky and delightful place with great service, although on a Saturday night it can get very busy and noisy. A bit pricey, but the food is truly superb.

Food was overpriced even with the "hidden" offer of 25% off. Staff and general service is excellent, we had a glass each of the house red wine which was only average. Granted, it was a cold evening, but it wasn’t very warm inside. Maybe some of the rooms need an upgrade?"
