Stumbled in on a Sunday after a lovely walk with the family. Was very welcomed and the pub is dog friendly. Ordered 4 Sunday dinners beef and pork was the options. Food was amazing hot plates hot food the beef was served pink and to perfect with carrots, peas, roast potatoes, carrot and sweed mash, stuffing and topped with a giant Yorkshire pudding. The pork was lovely and had the crackling served along side it. All in all was a fantastic finish to a lovely day.Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming and has a pool table

Great pub and great news it's back open. Didn't eat, but the meals they brought out to other patrons looked very nice.

Stayed over for a night in our campervan. EHU worked great, owner was able to supply a connector for our adapter! Had a few drinks in the pub before an early close due to being very quiet. Kitchen was shut for the weekend but the landlord recommended a good takeaway as offered plates and cutlery, very handy! Amenities was basic but was able to get a shower and use of the toilets 24hours. Would stay again if in the area. Very quiet area, minimum noise. Dog friendly in the pub which is always a bonus.

Lovely setting/ decor and friendly staff but limited sunday menu and the pork was tough and fatty. Told waiter who said they would pass the feedback on to chef but I didn’t get an apology or any reduction on bill (I didn’t ask for one but since I didn’t eat it I though they would have offered). Wouldn’t rush back but everyone else in my group was happy with their beef roast dinners so maybe I chose badly

Stayed recently... Fantastic pub and campsite with quality food and amazing Staff. The landlord and landlady are gems and couldn't do enough. Even provided a lift to the gig I was going to because of taxi shortages over the Kings of Leon Concert period.Really good prices at the bar and the service was simply second to none. Definitely the very best pub/campsite I've visited and will be back.10/10 Quality.

We camped here over the weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. The landlord and landlady couldn’t have provided more for us, they went above and beyond and we are so grateful. We had the bar kept open later for us and a gorgeous full english in the morning. Only 15£ for the camping pitch, with hot showers, toilets, and fridges provided. So much stunning country side around, 100% recommend to everyone.

Brilliant friendly local pub with camping and overnight facilities, lovely staff couldn’t have been any more helpful, clean and tidy with plenty of parking, and excellent value aswell. An absolute gem !

Had stayed over with friends in Wrexham the night before which ended up a late / heavy night so needed a full English (or Welsh in this case!) breakfast. It was a lovey day so decided to go the back lanes back to Chester. Our friends told us about this place recently starting breakfast at the weekend. It did not disappoint in the slightest, perfect breakfast - bacon, sausage and black pudding all supplied from a local farm we were told (and it tasted like it), perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this if you want a great breakfast at the weekend.
