Just arrived home from having a meal here with 4 of my friends and thought I'd leave some feedback to say how impressed we all were. It was our first time visiting and considering we are all pretty local to the area, I can't believe we haven't eaten here before! There was plenty of choice on the menu, from starters through to desserts, which is great when you have a fussy friend who normally struggles to find something! Group of six had not booked, they found us a table , good food, friendly and helpful staff and great beer, a good time was had by us all. Would recommend the golden lion.
