Great food, great beverage choices and comfortable atmosphere - even the sun was out showing off the nice garden area around the inn. Been before and got a seat Infront of the fireplace, was very chilled out even with the rugby on!Parking: Ample parking but if you have a choice of a small car take the small car during summer months, you can find a good little spot that a big car couldn't fit into when it's busy ?

Visited for my birthday lunch. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. We started with the mushrooms which were delicious, my husband had the Italian pizza and I had the seabass dish. The food was beautifully presented and tasted nice but for us was over salted. The ice-cream dessert was delicious.

Editing my review having been here more frequently since I first reviewed.Atmosphere and the food is nice. The pizzas are really nice.Staff wise overall very good. Managers and team on the whole are lovely although one of the team looked a bit miserable yesterday. Fortunately she was only taking the drink order Maybe she was having a and day?Kids menu nice, god portions.My biggest gripe is the desserts. Very expensive for what they are and size/portion. For me, this is the area that could be improved a lot.

Food gorgeous and just the right amount. I had the moules which were perfect hubby had haddock fishcake with poached egg again perfect. And the chips were excellent really hot nice and crispy and just the right amount of salt.Will be back as the atmosphere is brilliant staff are attentive without being on top of youWashrooms pristine puddings to die forA great meal for an impromptu lunch out xx

Avoid the plaice. Never had it before, bad choice on my behalf. Well cooked , well presented, just not for me.Compliments to the chef and the team, enjoyed the experience.
Very nice restaurant, and I thought of it as a fancy pub. Restaurant area looks very nice as you walk in with large wood fired pizza oven in view on arrival and the smell of log fires and pizza was lovely. Choose a sharing starter which was very nice the moat house facaca bread is lovely. We choose different main meals and as much as they were very well presented and nice tasting, we both found them very salty. It could have just been on the day or the chef in the kitchen however if your not a big salt lover I'd choose a pizza next time. It wasn't enough to cause a fuss over with the staff and the bill was paid in full, just a note to bear in mind.Parking: Large carpark to right hand side of building, access from carpark into restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Tarmac carpark with level entrance into restaurant, large space and wide doors, wheelchair toilet at same level.

We had a family meet up, 10 of us ate, The food was pretty disappointing. We had high hopes when we walked in and saw the pizza oven and expected something special. Unfortunately the pizza's were small and dry, they are more expensive than a proper Neapolitan pizzeria. When we got the bill, we were surprised to see the pizza was by one get one free, this was not mentioned on the menu or by our server, we ordered 3 but would have swapped out the awful sausage and mash (£17 for 2 sausages and a bit of very salty mash) for pizza instead if we had been informed. at £7 or £8 each the pizza would have been ok I guess. The service was pretty hopeless too, no one came to check if the food was ok, or ask if we needed more drinks.The pub is lovely inside, and everywhere looked very clean, so I gave the extra star.Looking at other peoples reviews and pictures I can only assume we turned up on an off night, None of ours we're really worthy of a picture and other people obviously like what the pub does.
