Room was very cold on arrival, and family and friends had the same experience, bath and sink plugs missing, air conditioning no warm air so an extra oil filled radiator provided .

Only went in for a chocolate and chat. Not overly impressed with staff. Doesn't accept cash, ridiculous. Not everyone has credit/debit cards. I do have cards but I choose to keep some privicy from information you collect. Hence the comment I'm making. And I hear you....I know I'm part of the minority but you should hear my voice, this is discrimination. How dare you manipulate peoples choices.

service was amazing and food was great especially breakfast , traffic can be bad in the area at times and parking here is actually quite difficult and I got sent a parking fine even though I'd told them my reg .room was lovely allthough the provided Ethernet was broken at the port in the wall .

Rugby Discos

Rugby Discos regularly DJ at this venue. From a supplier point of view access is really easy, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and want to go the extra mile.Tonight was DJ John hosting and performing at a Christmas party.

One of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in! Car park was completely chaotic with nowhere to park. The room was around 15 degrees and the heating didn’t work. Eventually we got an extra heater which helped but it was far from ideal. The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work either. For £60 a night this would be poor, but at £140 a night this is ridiculous!!! Avoid and go somewhere else if I were you! To top it off we had a fire alarm at 2am which they couldn’t turn off! Absolutely shocking!

Really enjoyed spending 3 nights at this hotel. The bed was surprisingly comfy and the restaurant had some very nice food options - their pizza was amazing. The water pressure in the shower wasn't great but it wasn't a major issue.

We came here for one night as my Son was on an Open Day at Warwick University, our room surpassed our expectations, we were given a Suite, it was massive! Very cosy and warm. Dinner was tasty, a bit pricey here, but the breakfast was good.

Stayed here for the Zzap live event. Rooms were clean and the hotel facilities were good bathrooms in need of refurbishment. Food and drink was also good although expensive and drinks were given in plastic glasses.

The car park is somewhat tricky for this one - although the hotel is conveniently-placed, there are entrances to parking to the left AND right of the hotel, plus parking in a circular ring around the front. Those with longer vehicles will find the circular front could be tricky, so drive anti-clockwise as far as possible where there are some spaces hidden around the back (next to the right entrance).I'd originally booked a lower-floor room (as I'm happy to ascend stairs to get to it) but my colleague arrived early and the room wasn't ready so the moved us to a higher floor. The room had nice views out, just annoying to use the lift (with slow doors) to get to it. Most modern touches found in today's hotels seem to have eluded this place: there's no power points nor USB points over near the bed, the only power point is over the other side of the room and we found two of the lights didn't work. Similarly the bathroom looked somewhat shabby with chipped tiles, warped woodwork and mould growing on the seals. We didn't bother eating there - beer was expensive, and although there was a convention on only one of the three bars (out past the dining area) was open, although was nice to sit out the front for the views, we soon decamped over to the Ale House over the road then further into town. For what we wanted, the room was functional, but pricey. Originally there was a convention deal on, but when ringing to enquire about it I was asked for a event code (which I didn't have) and when mentioning the dates there was no event discount listed, so I just went with the normal booking.Walkability: Close to town and many amenities - don't bother eating/drinking in the hotel, venture out.

Pleasantly above and beyond. Great standards within the room, good to see branded product you can trust in the bathroom. Hotel dog friendly in more places than many others. Staff engaging, showed forethought and consideration, above expectation. Would return.

The hotel feels a little dated and has a strange layout. My room was on the 2nd floor but to get to it from the lift I had to navigate a maze of corridors and go down a flight of stairs. This was not a problem for me, but if you have restricted mobility then you may want to request a room on the same floor as the lift. The room was clean but a little tired in places. The bed was comfy and I had a good night's sleep. The evening meal that I had in the restaurant wasn't great. There wasn't ordering at the table, instead I had to order from the bar and give my table number. When the meal came, it looked and tasted like a ready meal that had been heated in a microwave. The breakfast, however, was great. It was a 'serve yourself' buffet style breakfast, but there was a good choice and everything was cooked great and very tasty. The staff were also great and a credit to Holiday Inn.

I’m just back from a lovely family reunion weekend in Kenilworth and some of of stayed at the Holiday Inn at the top end of the High Street. My wife and I had a great Executive Room (505) with lots of space, a lovely bed and even a proper desk to use for business…..had we needed it. The hotel was very clean in every way. The staff were brilliant…..particularly Luke who looked after us and made a massive fuss of our dog throughout our stay!! Yes, it’s an extremely dog friendly hotel. There were nine of us staying there with two dogs between us…..and they couldn’t have been any more accommodating. Every request we made to sort extra pillows or to sort the TV tuning out was dealt with swiftly. Great service and will definitely return again.

We stayed at HI Kenilworth during our roundtrip in the UK, and unfortunately, it was not a good option. ABOUT HOTEL: even there are parking places around the building, they are not enough for all guests. We had to wait for another car to leave to park ours (free of charge). Check-in was right. About the hall and common spaces at the ground floor, they are a little bit dated, but it is in the rooms floors where it is seen that it is tired: carpet not well fixed to the floor, not clean, and strong smell of foods and fried foods (we were at 4th floor), from the restaurant. In the room, temperature really hot. However not the fan or the air-con worked. Once the control was on, all it made was noise, no more. So a warm night awaited us. Soap gel bottles in the toilet and in the shower were empty, although maybe better, because the top diffuser was not as clean as it had to be. The sink did not drain any water, well, drained really slow, and it last a lot of time to be empty again. So the mix of hot temperature, fried food smell, and not the best bathroom, made it a bad night. ABOUT RESTAURANT (The Clock Tower): We asked if we were on time for dinner (it was 8PM), and there were just two tables drinking. The boy in the bar said OK, and the other waitress changed her face, blowing (ufff!!). We ordered and drinks lasted 15 minutes to arrive. In the restaurant there were 3 waiters: the boy of the bar (who took our order), the other girl, who was speaking constantly with a friend who was in the bar, and another boy, that was going inside and outside of the restaurant, picking up drinks that was driking himself inside the restaurant. Then arrived two drinks, we told that one drink was missing (we were three people). We asked again for the drink a few minutes later (nobody either in the bar or in the restaurant, except for the girl, who entered inside to talk inside with his friend and a receptionist). Then again. And at the fourth time, the drink arrived. Meanwhile, the cooker took out our food and asked to the waiter (who just came from ouside) for that food, that was in the kitchen prepared and getting cold. We were served but no cuttlery on the table, no tissues, no anything. We had to request it, and wait for two more minutes (with food on the table). Then all of them disappeared. We finished and wait to order for dessert, but it was impossible. Finally, I went to the bar and wait for one boy that came and I paid the bill. About restaurant, one of the worst service I've ever had. TO SUM UP, I have to say that previous to my stay, I received several e-mails (automatic) about my upcoming stay, signed by the manager Mark Hills, so after my stay, I send an email to his attention to explain what I am stating in this review, to let him now what was my overall experience. I never had a reply. I think this is the most representative of all. Unfortunately, I do not recomment this hotel (nor the restaurant). There are lots of options nearby, sure with better service, and with a better sleep quality.

After checking in to my executive room I found that the air conditioner controls were not working. As the window was only able to be opened by a couple of inches, there was insufficient ventilation for such a warm muggy night. In addition the power sockets were so far away from the bed it was not possible for me to use my CPAP machine without an extension lead. As I was going it to dinner and would be out for a couple of hours I asked for the air conditioner to be looked at while I was out and take the extension lead at the same time. Upon returning to my room nothing had been done. So I was upgraded to a suite and was given an extension lead the was tied up in knots. The suite while being larger was not exactly luxurious. The mattress was worn out and uncomfortable so I did not have a good sleep. The final straw was when trying to take a shower the thermostatic valve was broken and would only supply water that was only hot enough to scold the skin!

Where do I start. Dirty Dirty and more Dirty. This is marketed as a 4 star hotel. I will say it again a 4 star hotel. This hotel needs to lose 3 of its 4 stars. Not sure who rates Holiday Inns these days but they need to take a long look at themselves. Ok here we go. On arrive we greeted by lots of people sitting in the near the reception area. On looking closer we saw what looked like nurses!! In fact they were. The had a people sitting in the main reception area waiting to give blood!! This looked like something out of war movie!! Now I know giving blood is very important put in a 4 star hotel? The hallways are so dirty you shouldn’t be giving blood here anyway. Ok now the rooms. This is one of the worst I have stayed in. This is I must mention a IHG hotel with the IHG cleanness commitment, but this needs a EHO inspection. If only the EHO’s (Environmental Health Officer) inspected rooms!! Hair and built up dust everywhere. Mould in the bathroom and stains in the toilet. Now please remember this is a 4 star hotel. Carpets stained and have not been vacuumed in what looks like years. I really don’t like giving reviews like this but standards in the UK need to change. Breakfast well I have had better at an independent bed and breakfast. Please look at how the Marriott do things. You are a Holiday Inn this is a name recognised around the world but here in Kenilworth you have let yourselves down. I will be contacting IHG for a full refund. Failing that I will be contacting my card company for a chargeback.
