16 New St, KenilworthThe food is gorgeous as you would expect from a Michelin starred restaurant and the bill for the 4 of us was in excess of £500. I wasn’t a great fan of the environment if I am honest. Its looks a little dated and ‘cold’. The staff were lovely, with the exception of one who was surly and miserable. My biggest reason for the lack of 5 stars though (which I am sad about as the food was great) is we were sat as the last people at the end of service (probably no later than 10.15pm) and the staff came out in force and started spraying the tables around us with anti bac. If they wanted us to leave, I think it would have been far nicer to just say they were closing rather than spraying around us. Not what we expected for a restaurant at this price point.

The deals are clearly attracting people as it was busy for a Monday night. Very attractive offers.Drink:I would recommend the Lemon Drizzle cocktail. Light and zingy drink with a slight sweetness to balance out the tart with the vanilla absolute vodka.The house wine was also one to recommend.Food:The food could have been a bit better. The flavour was all there but I I found my main dish (Paella Mixta) to be slightly overcooked as well as the mixed kebab. Other than that the flavours were amazing and the starters were perfect. Would recommend the garlic prawns and muscles for starter and the steak for the main.Summary:Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff. Exiting menu and tasty food and drinks. Slightly let down by the execution of the food but this is not enough to deter me from eating there again.

Millar Court, 43 Station Rd, KenilworthWe went for lunch on a Saturday. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we were served promptly. The lunch menu offers a starter and a main for £11, which is very good value for money. The starter however, was very small, more like a snack, but once again, in the context of the price was good value for money. I opted for the thai red curry for the main, which was delicious. It had heat, but wasn't very spicy. Total price was £40 for 3 people inc drinks. I would definitely come here again.

68 Warwick Rd, KenilworthCame here for a quick bite to eat, had a burger and fries which was quite tasty and not expensive. It's a decent pub and part of a chain which do good food. The beer is decent with a good selection of ales and lagers, plus lots of spirits. Bar staff are friendly and the whole place is worth a visit. Happy to come back again and try more from the menu.

Service friendly and generally efficient, but having only 2 serving staff meant there wasn't always one on hand if you wanted something. Food generally very good and tasty, but some dishes were disappointing. Didn't mind paying the automatic 10% service charge as I would have left that amount of tip, but there was no mention of the charge on menu or website, as there should have been.

The venue is a heart of the community type of public house serving food, drinks and providing entertainment.We really enjoyed playing at the pub, the clientele were very friendly. The staff were nice, the pub clean including the toilets.I would recommend any band or artist to play here if they get a chance. Anyone living in Kenilworth this place is a must, a place that deserves support from the local commnity.We hope to back playing at the Gauntlet in 2024. The main lady is so lovely she always greets us with a smile and asks us about our day. The food is fantastic and is great value. It hold many good chip Friday memory’s for me and my friends. Was a real dump years ago but not now.Friendly staff, extensive drinks selection, popular eaterie, though I've never experienced it.Toilets are upstairs, which is a downside, but this does enlarge the space downstairs. Open plan room, Imaginatively arranged, with alcoves and fireplaces with real fires. Relaxed atmosphere with generally well dressed, good class clientele. Reasonably priced. Curry night on Wednesday evenings is particularly popular,Extensive outdoor seating and children's play area in large mean dering garden, hard landscaped and grassed with mature trees and adjacent car parking.I cannot praise this place enough. I was really pleased they had space as we booked it with just over 24hrs notice and was told they may not have everything on the menu as it was a large booking with late notice. Well the only thing they didn't have was peas, so I think we can let them off!We often find when eating out with a large number of people, at least one person in our party has a bad experience with their food, but not this time. The food was great, came out super quick, was hot and everyone enjoyed their meal. We got there to discover we had the private room at the back of the restaurant which was brilliant. The service was great and we didn't feel as if we were forgotten about when the main restaurant got busy.We often go to the almanack for breakfast and have never had a bad experience but it will now be our first choice with family parties for the future.Thank you to the Almanack for saving our day and giving everyone a great experience.Vegetarian options: They had a few good options. A nice curry on the specials which was described as delicious and a little spicy. I had the burger which was tasty and filling.

48 Station Rd, KenilworthToday we went for brunch and it was fantastic. We all have the full breakfast and there wasn't a touch if greasy fat anywhere so did not feel guilty afterwards. Beautiful. The service was also top notch. The food did not take very long from ordering either which is also a bonus. Menu offered a really good choice too. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. 1 The Square, KenilworthLovely little cafe in Kenilworth , really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. The prices of the latte I had was £4 and they had little sweet treats ranging from £3-5 . My friends had a lavender latte which I thought was quite unique but they did say it was very sweet - so just be mindful. It does get really busy. Dogs are also allowed inside which was quite nice , if ur allergic to dogs - just be aware.
