We decided to have three sunday roasts and fish of the day and it was cooked to perfection and a good plate full as well 5***** . Thankyou very much we will be back.

The Sunday lunch had the most beautiful buttery al dente veg, the gravy was made with meat and had real chunks of meat in it, huge Yorkshire puddings, tasty stuffing . . you could hardly fit everything on the plate. We actually asked to speak to the chef afterwards to tell her how delicious the meal had been. Lovely bar / restaurant manager as well attentive without being pushy and helpful waiting staff.Vegetarian options: I had a Mediterranean tart with my Sunday lunch - very nice; I'd prefer another option though like a nut roast or the Quorn chicken pieces for example.

Stepped in off the canal for a pint and a sit down. It was about 3.30pm and food was available and ut was warm. Friendly service, with a smile, and the Guinness was good. Very happy.

Called in for Sunday lunch today ( 11-2-24) The matradee John and his team delivered a very professional service. Dressed in their corporate attire the team looked smart and in keeping with the character of the building. John ensured we were happy throughout our meal and our needs were taken care of efficiently. Great Job John, Excellent service given. The food was a delight, the beef and gammon were cooked to perfection. The roast potatoes were the best I have had for a long time. Absolutely delicious. This establishment is highly recommend.

Lovely place to eat . It's completely different from the last people who owned it . Well worth a visit . Staff friendly and polite. Food portions are large.

visited as recommended by friends but will not spend mobey there again unfortunately - we had a fish / chips , burger and chips , steak pie and chips and a carbonnara The carbonnara was a total disappointment, not creamy ( as it should be ) it was more watery pot noodle so it was not eaten. It was mentioned to staff who took it off the bill total, but unfortunately it meant 1 person had no main course just a dessert afterwards as others had eaten theirs in the group - the " chef " was then heard saying " I know what carbonnara is , so ... " this did not give us a good impression abs no attempt was made to come over and see if there was anything to be done or explanation personally - we feel this a poor way to deal with paying customers so we will not return or recommend this pub/ restaurant
