Great, smaller and more-intimate, venue for live music. Downstairs is the memorabilia-filled “CrewBar”, and upstairs, the 300-350 capacity Queen’s Hall. Worth a visit just to see the memorabilia (including Lemmy’s signed bass guitar).

We went to see Steve Harris (of Iron Maiden)’s side band British Lion with support from Stray, and early Maidener Tony Moore. It was a great show!

Good selection of real ales and other reasonably-priced drinks upstairs and down.

Suggest parking in free-after-6pm Victoria #2. Close and convenient.

We got married back in September 25 and one of the biggest struggles with arranging the wedding handsdown had to be the food. It became the biggest stress. We then came across Anthony's catering who offered a big variety of wedding day/night food options. We originally wanted just a simple pie mash roasted veg but it wasn't within our price range so we opted for our second option of afternoon tea.
We had a few meetings to discuss what we wanted with Jon and he helped massively put our minds at ease, throughout the months and build up to the wedding we spoke with paige too via email who also helped put our minds at ease and helped with any questions we had. The whole processes and guidance was brilliant.
Then we come to the wedding day. The BIG stress is will everything go to plan and it did The team who made and served our food did amazing, anyone of our guest whos had a dietary requirement received a separate board with their specific dietary foods.
The Food itself from the sandwiches to the cakes were absolutely delicious the best thing being the scotch eggs with a side of salad cream (just for the grooms) We also had a selection of pizza in the evening again brilliant!
Everything went down so well.
Overall the services we received throughout had been amazing and thank you so much for everything you did for us on our special day.
Anyone who has been struggling themselves with organising food for weddings or parties we have recommended you.

Me and my partner came in this afternoon for food we hadn’t booked and the restaurant was rather busy but the young waitress asked the man behind the bar I think his name was Wayne if they had room for us he said yes and and suggested a table for us he came and spoke to us to inform us that there was a bit of a wait on food he was was very polite as was the young lady that was waiting on us the food was delicious and definitely worth the wait after food we went for a walk to look around they have a lovely garden and play area for children and a food van which has a good selection look forward to our next visit

The meal we had tonight was absolutely was absolutely stunning. A group of us went in and had such a great meal and the atmosphere was brilliant. We were so full after the food, the portions were a great size. The staff were brilliant and offered suggestions of what to eat and tastes.

Oh my wow, what can I say . Been to the sunnyside today for the Christmas fayre menu, bloody amazing, starters, mains and sweet couldn't be faulted, lashings of gravy as pete advertised. ? 5 of us visited today to celebrate Mother’s Day. The service was friendly and welcoming. Although the food took a short while to come out ( to be expected on such a busy lunch service and all food cooked fresh to order- I’d sooner wait and have it right) the food was all delicious and piping hot! Which makes a very pleasant change in this day and age. All our servers were very polite and attentive… it’s been about 6 years since our last visit. We will definitely be back again much sooner, highly recommend ?

We went here last night and had a lovely meal. I’ve recently discovered I have a milk intolerance. I didn’t know what to order and I didn’t want to cause a fuss. The man who served us asked me what things I like and then he ordered me the perfect dish and suggested sides. It was a Tuesday night and really busy in there so it might be worth booking in advance, but the service, staff and food were all perfect. Thank-you.

Fran, the owner, was incredibly friendly, which added to the overall experience. This café has become our go-to spot, and for very good reason. The food is consistently excellent — fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. Everything comes out quickly without ever feeling rushed or sloppy, which is a rare combo.
The service is genuinely five-star. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and actually seem to enjoy what they’re doing, which makes a huge difference. You’re treated like a regular even if it’s your first visit.
