Bar in

“I recently visited Loxley Restaurant & Wine Bar and it was an experience I won't soon forget. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the elegant atmosphere and the warm welcome from the staff, making us feel very welcomed. The menu was a great! offering a perfect mix of classic favorites and exciting new dishes. Each plate was a work of art, both in presentation and taste. The wine selection was impressive too! What really stood out was the attention to detail in every aspect, from the ambiance to the service to the branded napkins.Loxley Restaurant & Wine Bar is more than just a meal; it's a culinary journey that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a sophisticated yet comfortable dining experience.”

“Was able to sit without a reservation, but time was limited. I knew this knowing that I would finish before they needed the table. Started with black pudding scotch egg. Good twist on this but the outer shell was so thin that when it was deep fried it was left a bit too crispy. Had the pork belly for main. The potatoes were good and the apple sauce was as flavourful, but most of the pork was dry. I really liked the pork crackling.”

“Decided last minute to go out for something to eat on a Monday afternoon purely to give the car a decent run, so decided on Stratford upon Avon, did a quick search for local restaurants in the town and saw El Greco, hadn’t been to a greek restaurant before, and wasn’t disappointed!!We had the mezzes platter, wow!! So many dishes for stater and mains, and not one of them you could fault, all full of flavour, presented beautifully and the staff were happy and friendly.Wasn’t overly busy when we went (3pm) but must be popular due to reviews as more tables upstairs too. Will definitely be back and recommend it to any friends or customers that visit Stratford.”

“We had a lovely dinner at the Lambs with various mains, starters and deserts. Everything came as a small surprise but was really delicious. The service was very friendly and helpful. We will go there again!”

“Love these kind of architectural buildings. Just very eye catching. So just pop in to see inside. It was a nice cafe.”

“Visited here with my wife on a Friday night, the decor is absolutely stunning and the restaurant was packed which is always a good sign! Was greeted by a woman who i believe may be the owner and she was lovely, very welcoming and you got the sense that a lot of the customers were regulars. We were seated in the conservatory and served drinks while we waited for our table to be ready. Again the decor was very nice, comfy seats and a nice chilled vibe. Once seated at our table it was a very romantic setting, exactly what we had hoped for. Staff all seemed very friendly and service looked like it ran smoothly. We weren't designated a specific server, everyone seemed to chip in which we didn't mind. It just felt a bit difficult to know who to tip but in the end we discovered their was a service charge added to the bill anyway (absolutely no problem with this either, the service and food deserved it).For starters we shared the rustic bread; wow. How you can transform bread like that I'll never know, it was delicious and a very generous portion. Both of us had the 10oz sirloin steak with new potatoes for main, whilst sharing a side of truffle & Parmesan fries. My steak was cooked to perfection, exactly the way i like it and the quality of the food was unquestionable. For desert we had the vanilla & raspberry cheesecake which was stunning, one of the best I've ever had. And also the warm chocolate brownie with ice-cream, again delicious. Nothing can be said against the quality of the food here. The only negative i can say about our experience was that we didn't receive a table check to see if everything was ok with our meals. My wife had asked for her steak to be medium but unfortunately it was very much rare (bright red inside rather than pink). She ate as much as she could but it did dampen her enjoyment, once the waiter collected our plates he could of course notice she had left a fair chunk of the steak and asked if everything was ok with it. We explained the situation and he continued to take the plates to the kitchen, we didn't receive any feedback or anything.Upon receiving the bill i noticed that her steak had been removed from the total, of course this was appreciated but we just felt it could of been handled a little bit better. We felt a bit guilty if anything. If he would of returned from the kitchen and perhaps apologised or acknowledged that the steak was under cooked, possibly offering her a pudding on the house this would of been more than acceptable in our eyes.Overall though our experience was very enjoyable and as mentioned the quality of the food is very high. The hotel also looks beautiful. We will certainly be returning in the future!”

“We were passing on our way to another pub we had googled but saw The Bell Inn and stopped, are we glad we did, sat in their beautiful garden under their thatched roof circular table with cushions, had a wonderful Pimm's with a delicious steak and Guinness pie, with mash and gorgeous mixed green veg! Compliments to the chef! First rate!”

“This was recommended to us by the receptionist at the Premier Inn where we were staying for the night. Very convenient location for us. Lovely food that night. The service was excellent, friendly and prompt. At one stage we had 4 different people looking after us. A nice atmosphere indoors where we ate. The rugby was being shown outdoors and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. There was a good selection of drinks as well.”

“It’s ok, but not 5 stars ok. The location is good, but I’d expect a little more from the place. Also, it’s quite expensive.”
