The building is old, so it is higledly pigerdly with a querky layout. Toilets are upstairs, though. Loved the decor it added to the charm of the placeThe food was okay and good value when discounts applied. The menu had changed from my last visit to a cafe rougue, so it wasn't what i was expecting.Service was good and it pays to listen in when the waitress was explaining about further discounts available from the poster stand outside the cafe... ?

French onion soup is very beefy. In fact, my main course beef stroganoff tasted identical, not impressed. I really didn't want both courses to taste the same also the meat was very grisly myself and my friend had the same main course and we both had a pile of meat for the bin.

Yesterday we had a cheeky lunch in CR! We were made very welcome by the staff and the atmosphere was very relaxed and homely. The food was very good and the service excellent, we even managed part of a bottle of white!! Thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you.

Lovely afternoon tea. Croque monsieur and crock mushroom were cooked perfectly. Scone (with jam and clotted cream) and three cakes each were all fresh and delicious. Topped off with as much tea as you can drink and good attentive service.Toilets are upstairs but that is quite common in the old buildings in Stratford-upon-

Our first visit to Cafe Rouge Stratford upon Avon and we were disappointed. Valentine's Day afternoon tea for myself and my wife started with Izak explaining that we could have bottomless teas or coffees and that Chef would start preparing our sandwiches and cakes. When the platter arrived it looked very appealing, lovely toasted sandwiches topped with cheese. Very tasty, Peter arrived with more teas, then we moved on to our cake choice. I was so full I left one cake. Thank you very much, a lovely afternoon.

Lovely food and although they were 2 serving staff down, the service was amazing, the young waitress was supereb! She never stopped, all drinks, food , coffee and the bill served with a smile and efficiantly. Well done.
