Quick and good service, excellent reliable food. Good pricing and smart environment. Ideal for pre theatre meals. We had to be out by 7pm and they’re clearly used to working to that.
Came here with the wife and daughter whilst visiting Stratford. I haven't been to a cafe rouge in about 15-20 years and the menu has definitely got less french since then, I guess to cater to changing trends (there seemed to more burgers flying out of the kitchen than I had expected). Pretty sure I had steak tartare last time I went which was not on the menu. However they still do the classics: french onion soup, beef bourguignon and creme brulee which is what I went for. The wife and I visited for afternoon tea. There was a mixup on my part which I was worried would ruin the afternoon - but the manager Issac sorted out! Lovely staff and great food. Thanks for such an accommodating experience!! Will deffo be coming back and telling others.
