Magnificent evening at the Dirty Duck again. Great atmosphere, wonderful premises. Ver friendly and professional staff. We chise the specials on the blackboard. Delicious Woodland Pie and the Duck. Not forgetting gret Guinness. Highly recommend to all.

Good selection of hot food but quite expensive for a pub! No hot water in ladies toilets- not ideal before eating food. Nice ambiance- attentive staff.

Our Saturday gathering with friends for steak and burgers was a carnivorous delight. The perfectly grilled steak and pork topped burgers were flavorful highlights that sizzled alongside jovial conversations and laughter. An evening of delicious eats, and memorable moments shared among friends add to that a great staff that were very welcoming.

Quiet, cosy lunch on a Friday in January 2024 after visiting the RSC. Not cheap, but an absolutely banging Fish and Chips followed by a great sticky toffee pudding. Nice pint too. Barstaff really attentive to my partially-sighted nephew also. Highly recommended. Book before you go.

There were 16 of us having a family after Christmas get-together.All the staff were excellent working together at a busy time of year, making sure our evening ran smoothly, no rushing to move us on as sometimes other places do. Nice and relaxing with a buzzing atmosphere fantastic. Thank you to all the team at the dirty duck.

We went for a dinner on 26th of December and I have to say that we had absolutely brilliant meal. We both choose turkeys as it's traditional Xmas meal and we weren't disappointed at all! Meal was delicious and of course special highlight to the team who's really welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend it :)

My partner and I had absolutely great experience at The Dirty Duck. The food was lovely, we were impressed by the main of turkey and fish. I need to highlight that the staff are really lovely, hardworking people. All the atmosphere was brilliant. If you're in the area you should definitely come over.

Completely disappointed, booked a new year's eve meal, booked to arrive at 7.45, expecting a table and some kind of festive environment, never been more disappointed. Our table was said to be ready, the table had salt or sugar all over it. No sign of of a table setting, we booked the table a few months in advance, you really would expect more for a new year's eve meal. Went to order the meal and told no turkey, second choice chicken, only had one available. Sorry but this is new year's eve... so disappointed... we ordered a cheese board for dessert, asked at the counter if I wanted this all at the same time????? Its a dessert!! anyway it arrived before the meal and sent it back!!! It went dowhill from there. The two tables next to us where complaining about the positioning next to doors where staff kept going in and out off and lack of meal choices, one group where actually looking up other pubs nearby. Needless to say, we cut the evening short. In fariness to the team, they didn't charge for the meal. We went else where... I really can't believe it... spent months looking forward to this and never had a problem there before, we opted for this pub believing it was one of the best Greene King pubs in the area. People work hard, we work hard and although appreciated the pub team are working on new year's eve, if you can't provide what you're advertising... consider letting people know that have booked the situation. It's what should be a special evening. Such a shame for an iconic pub with such a good history

Always lunch here when I'm in town. Lovely atmosphere and excellent food, especially the seafood. Highly recommend.

Lovely pub with good range of cask ales, staff very friendly, the pub had a nice atmosphere. The meals looked really nice so we ordered a couple of roast Sirloin Beef meals. They duly arrived and didn't disappoint until we tried to cut through the slices of beef which proved extremely difficult infact we both gave up in the end. We eat out frequently and this was the toughest beef that we'd ever experienced. We mentioned this to a waitress as it's important to leave feedback, she apologised and we left. Would use this pub again but wouldn't order the beef.

We had late lunch at the pub restaurant as a family. We enjoyed a variety of good quality of British foods, charming interior and superb atmosphere, having a table in wide bright space facing its backyard. Staffs were friendly. Honestly, I liked the atmosphere on the bar side more but I couldn’t drink because we traveled from London by car. When I had chance next time, I really wanted to stay there.

Lovely old pub and restaurant. Dined here a few times over the years and usually finish up in the snug bad adjacent to the larger dining area. Food has never disappointed and the staff have always been pleasant and prompt .Vegetarian options: Not my thing but judge not lest ye be judged
