The google reviews are accurate. We enjoyed our meal very much at this gastropub. They serve some creative dishes as well as the pub staples delivered with a twist. Our group ordered the double cheese burger, Dirty Vegan burger, grilled cheese sourdough, wild mushroom risotto, and two daily specials (bang bang chicken salad and ginger & sage soup). Service staff were great and ambience was great as well. The only downside was that we had to wait between 30 and 44 mins for our meals to get served that weekend.

A wonderful place , very friendly and knowledgeable staff, top quality British ingredients cooked to perfection in a lovely welcoming atmosphere, we will definitely be returning. We thoroughly enjoyed the trout from the specials

We were immediately welcomed by Miles who went through highlights of the menu, tempting us with his descriptions. The meal was great, very tasty and piping hot. This place was a pleasant surprise and one we shall visit again.Parking: side roads are available

Good quality food, good value, great options for vegetarians (the mushroom risotto was so good we ordered another!)The grilled cheese toast on sourdough was yummy (one of ours didn’t get toasted on both sides though)Now for the minus: we waited about one hour for our food. We were seated upstairs for Saturday lunch for 7 at 12 noon, it was packed inside (there’s outdoor seating too). Desert was daily special Rhubarb Fool, and that took 30 minutes to come after the coffee did.Not sure if it’s acceptable to have to wait this long for our food, even though it was truly delicious. We spent a total of three hours in here for lunch, half of the time was waiting.

Wow! What can I say? It was a Sat night…main courses were amazing, desserts weren’t too bad either! Coffee was red hot, and the best I’ve tasted for a long time. Nothing to complain about! Just a few rowdy rugby fans in.Fantastic food and atmosphere, would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely evening!!

If you're in Stratford you have to eat at The One Elm. Both the food and service are excellent. It looks small from the outside but can probably seat at least 100 people inside. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with starters, mains and dessert

Sticky tables.... really horrible. And all tables in the 4 zone eating area the same..... staff seating next to us sorting and cleaning cutlery after our starter, why would they do that? No chang of cuttlery from start to main, 30 mins from starter to main...... avoid.... plenty better in the town.....

After a past disappointing visit, it resulted in a long gap from visiting The One Elm. We had a lovely evening, and the food was delicious. The service was very good too. We shall go back very soon.
