Excellent in all regards. The young man behind the bar/hotel reception/waiter/conversationalist was a very competent jack-of-all-trades and made our stay all the better.

I had a short break in Stratford and staying here suited all my needs. Comfortable room, tea/coffee and small fridge (with a bonus of real milk). The small fridge was a bit noisy but that's a small point. Super staff, really friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Couldn't recommend more!Walkability: Close to NCP parking and right in the centre of town

Great location with spacious bedrooms. Very helpful staff. Down side is no dedicated parking with very enthusiastic traffic wardens checking the paid on road parking spacesNearby activities: Very close to Royal Shakespeare Theatre and many bars and restaurants and river AvonFood & drinks: Good chef and meals available at hotel

Sunday Lunch. Best piece of beef I have eaten in a long time. A good quantity of vegetables, which many other places scrimp on. Very prompt, attentive and friendly service.

Sunday dinner was unreal, three different cuts of beef which in my humble opinion… were cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere with incredible staff who couldn’t do more to make you feel welcome. Live music sets the tone for a real traditional English pub, will be back asap!

Didn't stay in the hotel. I just had a meal there. There were 10 of us, and the service and food was great ... one burger came and it was cold, so we sent that back. 3 of us had cammonbert for starters, and there was enough for 2 to share. The food was absolutely lovely and the beef was perfect. Fantastic
Very nice guest house, but ready for a refurb in the rooms and corridors. Price was good, food was fine although poached eggs at breakfast were over cooked and we had to fetch the breakfast from the kitchen pass ourselves because the only waitress was busy elsewhere.Having said all that I would stay here again due to it's perfect location.Rooms: Stayed in the premier room at the top of the house which was ready for redecorating and the bathroom was suffering badly from damp. This was, I suspect, due to the extractor fan switch being next to the light switch so I imagine most people just switch it off to avoid the noise!

Excellent hotel in the centre of Stratford. The building has plenty of history and character. Rooms are well-furnished, beds incredibly comfortable, and cleanliness is perfect. Great service, and a really nice breakfast in the morning. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again (hope to do so soon!).
