I've wanted to dine at Salt for a long long time and today thanks to wonderful and generous friends we did.First obviously, the food. Excellent!! We had the 4 course set menu and my palate was singing from the outset. Dined last night on the taster menu and it was exceptional. Been a few times previously where everything was good, however last night was the best. I’m a pescatarian and I had my own menu ready when I sat down. The stars of the night were the burford brown and miso and the desert that reminded me of vintage caramac chocolate and solero ice cream, genius together. Fantastic experience. Wonderful staff who were so welcoming and really made us feel at home. Food was beautiful, not everyone liked every dish equally but all really interesting. Highlights were the 11 year old bread, the carrots (unbelievably good), the best beef we have ever had, and the fudge. The paired wines were great, and we were given just the right amount of information about them. We brought a dog who was also made welcome. Highly recommended.
