Had a takeaway at the weekend, tasted ok but was ill 3 hours later (and all night) with food poisoning. My partner had a bad stomach too but I was almost passing out in pain and high temperature. Can't attribute it to anything else. Looked at past reviews on here and other people commented on bad hygiene and being ill too. Ruined our weekend away

Typical Indian restaurant..... Pleasant and very nice.... Bill for 2 came to £73 this included a shared starter and 2-3 half beers each.... Nice family run restaurant... Parties included kids... Has approximately 12 to 15 tables...

Little gem near the RSC. Very accommodating when it comes to vegan options. I had the vegetable balti, the variety of pulses and vegetables were wide and tasty. Plus, it’s open until late. I would 100% recommend!Vegetarian options: Vegans catered for.

We emailed to book a table for our wedding anniversary as we were going to the theatre. Never received a confirmation of the booking.Knowing by their Web page that they open at 5:30 (the time we booked our table for). On arrival at the time of opening, all signs were showing as open but doors were locked, staff were walking round inside chatting and drinking coke and leaving the door locked. After waiting 10 minutes after opening time in the pouring rain with the staff knowing we were waiting we left it and went to Zizzi next door.

The food was horrible, possibly the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. The dishes either didn’t have enough taste or were too sweet. I also had a hair in my butter chicken which wasn’t very appetising. The restaurant itself looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in ages with carpets full of hair and dirt. The only saving Grace in all of this was the service. They were very nice and attentive.Overall, avoid eating here if you’re looking for an Indian restaurant in the area.

Right next to the RSC theatre, this is central in location. Very friendly staff, and most important a very tasty curry. I had read portions were small, but I felt they were fine. Overall a good experience with good food.

Good indian restaurant to visit before going to the theatre. Best to make reservation as it gets busy early

Very polite staff , happy to chat . First time here, food portion sizes very small compared to other local restaurants. Slightly above average on cost of most dishes too. Food was slightly sweet but nothing to get excited about. poppadoms very oily in

Disappointed as poppadoms were kept in a cupboard and warmed up,the main course put on a Cold plate in the kitchen and brought to the table-the main meal was bland.

Food was bland and dry. Chicken not cooked properly on the chicken tikka the popadoms were dry and chewy. The jalfrezi was bland no sauce.

The atmosphere and service politeness was lovely. Decor and prices were good too. I was disappointed that they claimed to be halal but the first 3 things I ordered (first item, then the next replacement, then the next replacement) were not halal. I'm glad they were honest about it, but they should have made it clear from the start
