What a shame a pub with such beautiful views and location to have mediocre food, extortionate prices and hostile service. We went there to enjoy a bit of the views with a drink and they made us seat next to the toilets in a crumbed table that wouldn’t fit even kids because the tables were reserved for food! The place was empty all the time we stayed there! not to mention being attacked by a customer’s dog whose owners didn’t even apologised!Long lived British hospitality!!!

Great place! OK can be a little on the pricey side of things, but still a very nice place to visit and great views out on the decked rear of the

Went here for a Sunday lunch. For the price, I thought it was OK- nothing wrong with it, but certainly nothing memorable.Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Not sure they are justified in putting 10% on your bill automatically for service. Lots of places do it, and you can ask for it to be removed, but it is nevertheless a bit presumptuous for what is ultimately an average Sunday roast.

Very poor food. Vegan wellington was worse than eating un-seasoned dry wall. Service was alright. The crumble was cooked fruit compote and uncooked porridge oats on top. Would not come here again even for a free meal. Only reason I didn’t kick off was because it was Mothers Day and didn’t want to ruin my mum’s day.

We were visiting the area for a work event, spotted the pub on the way past. Glad we went, food was lovely and the staff were fantastic, really good service. We had team from the NL visiting and one had his first ever fish and chips, which is now a new favourite!thanks guys ?

It’s always difficult as a family to find a place to eat - an hour away for everyone . This pub was a perfect meeting place . The service was excellent , the waitresses were so efficiently ent , polite and professional . Food lovely ? quite expensive but worth

What a nice place for lunch. My first time here with friends and we had a 12.00 table. Don't bother turning up any earlier as the doors won't be unlocked until 12.00.For a lunch service perhaps open a wee bit earlier but it wasn't a show stopper.Staff were great, welcoming, professional and courteous. Which kind of justifies the added service charge but I would have yippee generously anyway for service like we received.Menu isn't huge but that's sensible because food wad very acceptable.I will definitely be paying another visit to the HA when the sunshine comes back as its location next to the locks begs an al fresco dining experience!Malcolm ClarkeRugbyMarch2024

"A Thursday afternoon" on arrival told there was a 15minute wait for a table(could see quit a few empty tables at this point) and was asked too take a seat and we will be called which was fine. Forty minutes later was wondering what was going on so asked the woman who was front of house what was happening. She had forgot! (even tho she walked past us about 10 times and put us in the laptop). Then she showed us too are table "which was empty whole time we was there" with no menu. We was sitting there another 10minutes without a menu until we decided too leave. It seemed such a nice place in a nice location, but the service was absolutely terrible!!!!!
