This is the best burger I have ever had! The chips are also delightful! I always add bacon to my burger and the quality and taste is always exceptional!

I have always enjoyed eating at the Moorings but find that this has become very over priced. Their new menu has a burger and chips at £18. This does not include any sides, not even a small salad. Our party shared a bottle of Prosecco at an extortionate £35. I shall find somewhere to eat with more reasonable prices in future.

Great quality breakfast in a lovely venue not far from the motorway. It was a pit stop enroute north. Would recommend anyone wanting to avoid the service station experience.

You don’t expect much on a Monday evening, but there was a nice atmosphere and friendly service. A simple dish, but often done poorly - the burger was the best I have ever tasted(!). Two 3oz burgers, juicy and coarsely ground beef, in a tasty bun, just the right quantity of sauce/pickles and some very crispy skin on fries. This place is on our door step but we don’t visit often, we will have to be more regular. Rarely find Wye Valley HPA on tap too, but it’s great.

Went for a Christmas team meal during December, and Taylor and the team couldn't have done a better job in accommodating all dietary requests and serving everyone promptly - even with some of the team forgetting what they had ordered! There were over 50 of us in total and the whole process was seamless, the food tasty, and the team were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

An extremely poor and over priced roast lunch. My wife and I had roast pork and my son roasted beef. The pork was tasteless and the beef tough, even though it was presented 'pink'. Roast potatoes soft and the accompanying vegetables over cooked. The gravy / jus watery and tasteless. We also requested some 'pigs in blankets' - these were prices at £1 per sausage(!) - they were 'stewed' rather than roasted - terrible flavour. We were refunded the cost of the 'pigs in blankets' after we complained. An extremely poor experience and a total of lack of cooking skill(s). The roast pork lunch was priced at £19 and the roast beef at £22. Grossly over priced and poor value.

What a lovely place! We had a fabulous Sunday lunch - great food, lovely venue and very friendly, welcoming service. Thanks - we will return!

The modern canal side setting was popular and on a sunny summer day the pub must fill up fast. We enjoyed the fires and first class service and although it was busy the food was quickly served and very tasty. We had two different choices of tacos. We’d happily come again.

Great place for a 50 year old's birthday in the big room upstairs. Excellent food served thanks!

We decided to go out for dinner last minute, we got a table here and what a treat the service was great and accommodated us all on one table, we ordered food and it was delicious nothing was to much trouble I had the Lamb that just melted in my mouth it was divine. The only complaint if you could call it that was you don’t get Yorkshire pudding on your Lamb unless you ask. So in reality not a complaint. Shame we have never tried here before we will be returning.

It's been a long time since I ate at the Moorings and the place definitely seems to have changed. Still great service and friendly staff but the style of food seems to have changed to a more street food angle in a restaurant setting. Lots of small plates with burgers, hot dogs nachos and wings. Much preferred the previous gastropub feel

Massively better than expected pub lunch. We pulled in as we saw the tables by the canal and it looked good. Large, secure car park well off the road. Great staff all round. We only ordered a few starters, the chilli nachos were exceptional, as good as I've had, salt and pepper squid good, firm and flavoursome, wings good. We'll be back.

Just called in for a drink tbf i could think of a lot better places to enjoy a refreshing pint, than to sit by a stagnent canal thats the colour of bile

Pub located right next to the canals with free parking. The proximity to the roads and shops can make it a bit unpleasant and it doesn’t take full advantage of being next to the canal, only a few tables are close to the water. The pub itself looks great, but the prices are also quite steep. It’s in a easy access location. Other pubs down the canals can offer more competitive prizes but they are harder to find and get there.
