We were in the restaurant for less than an hour but managed to have 4 different servers, none of who seemed interested in being there! The salmon pasta was very average, and the pasta was over cooked, left most of it but didn't get a chance to comment as the plate was whisked away, and nobody asked how the meal was. Definitely won't be returning.

Terrible food. The roast chicken pasta dish I had was watery, flavourless and certainly not creamy as per description. 5 small pieces of chicken and 2 mushrooms. Poor value. Poor quality

Arrived here on a busy Saturday evening We didn’t have a reservation but it wasn’t a problem. From start to finish everything was just perfect. 10/10 staff 10/10 food 10/10 comfort Will definitely visit this restaurant next time we are in Birmingham.

My daughter just returned with a pasta dish of theirs as a takeaway. It was extremely bland with a weird aftertaste I get from Wagamama food too. Checked their prices and apparently this dish cost £14. £3 would be overpriced. I have no opinion on their staff or service obviously.

Have been to zizzis a few times including this one and always enjoyed the food and had good service. Arrived at zizzis on a quiet Wednesday night, plenty of tables outside and sat down at one. The waiter arrived promptly and we explained that we would just like drinks (we had a dinner reservation a couple of hours later somewhere else) he then told us that we could only order alcoholic drinks with main courses otherwise we would have to have a soft drink only and then walked away. So weird, never been anywhere that wasn't busy that wouldn't serve drinks especially in such a relaxed setting, zizzis is hardly a high end restaurant! Well zizzis my friend and I got up and walked a couple of hundred yards away where another bar was more than happy to serve us and you lost out on £40 worth of drinks

I had great hopes for a great meal as I’d had a lovely meal in York Zizzi having just been diagnosed with gluten and dairy intolerance. The waitress there was really helpful and I was impressed that much of the menu could be adapted to my diet. Unfortunately when I went to the Mailbox Zizzi in Birmingham. I felt rather disappointed. The servers were disinterested and just gave me a folder with spreadsheets randomly inserted and was left to try and work out what I could have. Some sort of colour coding would have been useful to divide the different courses. The spreadsheets would have been easier to read if they were presented in book form where you didn’t have to keep rotating the folder round sideways to read it. As it turned out there was minimal choice for me. No gluten free pizzas. I had King prawn pasta - only 3-4 prawns / small potion -for about £15. In York I’d been offered some complimentary gluten free pasta crisps. However in Birmingham I noted they were £2.95 - but I was told they were cooked in the same pan as ordinary pasta - so I couldn’t have them. All in all -a very ordinary meal with disinterested staff.

Visited for dinner. The location is great and the restaurant interior has a good atmosphere. Starters were probably the best part - king prawns and garlic bread. I can only comment on my main which was seafood tagliatelle. The pasta was all stuck together at the end which wasn’t very pleasant. The mussels were nice but overall the meal was poor. Wouldn’t visit again.
Had a lovely meal here. Quick service and food was great. Can’t thank Mathias (Matt) enough for the fantastic service we received. He was absolutely brilliant from seating us to us leaving. Despite not actually being our server, he was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Thanks Mathias.

Served by a young girl ( dark hair), didn’t get her name unfortunately but a credit to Zizzi’s. Her service was great, food was great and came really fast. Really enjoyed our experience, will be back again!

Very slow service, waited over 40 mins for drinks, one starter was served with no cutlery, lady had to take cutlery from another table! Other tables not cleared of plates, glasses etc! Which in this heat at the moment is not good. However once food was brought to table this was nice & served hot. No apology from the male members of staff, only from the lady that came on shift after we had been there for over an hour!
