I came here Thursday for food with family and had such a good meal. After reading reviews we had mixed feeling about the place but my oh my the food was perfect and hot and I asked bar The staff to pass. On a message to the chef with tattoos on his arms that was best meal iv had this year and will definitely return with my family

The best thing was the food was hot. The pie and mash looked so unappetising the mash was grey, asked for extra gravy, never came. A thimble full of pirri pirri sauce with my chicken. Hubby wanted chicken burger they had None!!!!!! Never come again

Everything was severely over or undercooked. Service was pretty friendly Atmosphere was more of a boozer then a family friendly pub Don’t understand why they’ve got such good reviews.

Following a few brilliant trips here we returned again last night at 7.45pm for dinner. Unfortunately it turned out that bingo was being played and transmitted to the entire pub through the speakers…VERY LOUDLY. We asked if the speaker by where we were sat could be turned down and were told no as people were playing (I couldn’t see anyone playing). After selecting our meal choices we again asked if it could be turned down, this time the member of staff said she’d ask - it didn’t get turned down. We realised our evening would be spoiled if we stayed as we were unable to chat due to the volume coming out the speakers. Do we made the decision to go elsewhere. This meant we had wasted money buying drinks and now had to go somewhere else. I am bitterly disappointed by this as we had previously been so impressed with the place. Our £50 spend on food ended in someone else’s till where we received excellent treatment. If we wanted a bingo hall we would go to one. We wanted a pub for food and drinks and to my knowledge this is what the Corn Exchange advertises as offering.

Wanda was amazing, she made our so lovely and was so attentive, thank you Wanda. If it wasn’t for her out stay would’ve been very average as the sharer was very poor quality compared to normal and our desserts were made horribly. Thank you Wanda.

Perfect food as always, we always have the best food when the tattoo chef is working, our food gets to us fast as well and is perfect every time. The majority of us had steak and it’s always cooked to perfection. we all loved our meals.

We visited here for lunch… so impressed! We both ordered fish and chips, as well as a tea and coffee. The fish and chips were beautiful, such fresh fish and the batter was crispy. The chips were also fabulous. Great price too, came on a Friday and the fish and chips meals were £11.99 for two, which is great value for money. Nice atmosphere too, well-lit and speedy service. Thank you so much, will be back!

Food smelled and tasted off. Chips portion sizes questioned and requested to have bowl filled appropriately. Inedible. Won’t be returning.
