Ordered a whole family worth of food and phoned 1 hour and a half later to be told it was on its way. 30 minutes later still no food. Phoned again to a man adamant it would be here within 20 minutes that was 40 minutes ago and it has just arrived. Awful service. Poor customer service. Rude people on the phone. Food came back cold. Wasted money but won’t be offered anything in return for this awful experience

Great fish and chip shop the Roe is top notch. Big thanks to the lady that served me. Didn’t catch her name but what a credit to the team ( blonde hair tied in pony tail ) Will definitely return as the food was bang on.

After a few months returned to tasty place, the batter is still crap and half of it stuck to the paper and the rest was about 3mm thick, of which 2mm being gunge , Am I the only person in Sedgley who notices this,

I hadn't been to tasty plaice since well before covid probably about February time I had a roe special the chips were very greasy @ soggy also roe was very mushy my missis had a normal roe @ chips same with her meal not sure if it's under new owners but nothing like the quality before wont be visiting again in a hurry hugely dissapointed also no social distancing people ordering next to you are about a foot away

There are definitely better chip shops around. This was my first and last visit to ‘The Tasty Plaice’. I ordered a battered sausage and chips. The chips were soggy and the sausage was over cooked and hard inside making it inedible.

We ordered pizza and chips from Tasty Plaice and it didn't disappoint!! The pizza was delicious...easily rival the big well known brands and the battered chips just perfect!! A firm favourite of ours!

2 weeks ago I went to this fish & chip shop on a Thursday evening and they were closed due to corona virus. There was a note on the door saying they were taking home deliveries only. Fair enough and I understood. I could see they were in there so I rang them on the number they had left on the door. I asked if they could take my order and leave it at the front door which saves a delivery and keeps them in business too. The guy on the phone said that the police had told him deliveries only but he could bring it into the car park behind the chip shop for a £1 fee. I asked him why we were being charged £1 as we we’re regulars and at the door.....he said it was to protect his staff. i asked how us paying a £1 would protect his staff and he couldn’t answer me. He was trying to rip me off for £1. If I had gone home I wouldn’t have minded paying a fee for delivery but if their rule is to not open and only deliver then that is the rule but to break the rule and charge a regular customer £1 is profiteering in my view. We will never uwe the chip shop again. Btw, at the time the law wasn’t to shut chip shops as he said....... he had chose to do this. That’s his prerogative and totally understandable but don’t charge someone £1 for dropping it at the back door. Profiteering comes to my mind and you’ve lost a customer! We are supposed to be looking after local companies but we should have that in return!!! Bad bad behaviour!

Used this place for years. but now there no real competition the quality of the food is fast going down hill and also portion sizes are getting smaller. And being told if i want salad now on a Kebab it will cost a extra 75p. We live in Sedgley and this is the closest Chippy to us. But now we will not use the place again. We will be happy to travel the 3 miles to the Kebab shops in Chapel Ash where you get Proper old school Kebabs

Been ordering food from this place for the last few years and the timing and food quality has always been on point. Today I ordered a large kebab and fish and chips. The kebab was so tiny it looked a small. The fish was pale and uncooked and the chips were soggy. We asked for a replacement and the woman was so rude. No customer skills. Not listening to what I was explaining. So called manager came on the phone thinking I’m asking for free food when I returned all the food back to them. Madness. They sent the food again only to forget the fish!!!! Omg we rang again and the manager is saying his uncle is not here who deals with complaints. After arguing with the guy telling him I’ve returned all the food and some is missing he’s still arguing with me. I simply said I just want what I’ve paid for. Nothing more nothing less. He said if you want a refund come and collect it yet I paid by card and said the refund transaction should be on card not cash. Micky mouse business. Poorly run. Staff rude. No customer skills. That’s my last time there. From 5 star it’s gone to 0. If your food not right then good luck trying to correct it. Quick to take your money though. Avoid.
