We stayed in the hotel opposite. Didn't really want to eat here but didn't have a lot of choice. However, the service was excellent, the outside seating area was lovely and the food was above normal Wetherspoons standard. Couldn't fault anything. We had been paying nearly £6 a pint in Edinburgh, nice to pay just £2.65 instead!! Cheers!!

As is the njorm with Weatherspoons you get what it says on the tin for the money you are prepared to may. Service was friendly, helpful as one expects. Environment was good. No issues with the pub, Parking and signage found confusing.

Visiting family for the weekend, from Dudley now living in Wiltshire, had our springer spaniel with us me, mom and son asked for drinks. Asked if could take drink just by water edge, but table service only which is fair enough, and also understandable not allowed to take dog inside. I said to person serving we'll sit outside then after asking I suppose can't take dog inside? Bought the drinks as my mom went to sit down with our dog and drinks came, we're told no dog allowed outside and this is the rule and there was a sign we did not see this. I asked if we could still have our drinks, even if just had them just outside the seated area, told no and would have to have a refund. It was very embarrassing aside from being a hot day and we all longed for a cold drink. Even the nice couple next to us said they could not understand the rule. These days dogs are allowed in many places where people dine inside, and most places allow dogs outside. I appreciate places have their own rules but this one I can't understand, I'm sure we aren't the first and won't be the last this happens to.

Walked straight in sat at an available table which had not been cleaned waited a further 15 minutes trying to get a member of staffs attention who were busy talking amongst themselves finally got somebody's attention who took our order which although it was only drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive decided to drink up and leave

With Wetherspoons you know where you stand and what to expect. They do it well, rarely get it wrong and fix it when they do. The result is Good Value for Money and completely devoid of dreamcatchers and designer pomposity except they have dropped the Chicken Ceasar Salad and replaced it with the dreaded Quinoa (pronounced Keenwa and if you know that you probably shouldn't be at Wetherspoons)

We arrived to meet our friends after lockdown, we have 2 children and they have 1 child. We had booked a table and when we arrived they told us we couldn't sit together due to covid rules. I raised the fact with the manager that we are only 2 housholds with 3 under 12 children but they refused to allow us to sit down and made us sit separately. I wws absolutely disgusted at how they managed this. My chidlren felt very horrible thinking it was there fault they could not sit with thier friends after not seeing them for nearly 2 years.. Covid or not there is a way you deal with issues and the way they dealt with it was disgusting. I will not be coming back here again.

Unlike a lot of these pubs it was not fill of the usual drunks early morning. Customers included office workers, shoppers , couples and families. Some degree of COVID awareness but track and trace not enforced very well, tables not that separate and one way system not really followed by customers or staff. We deceived just to have hot drinks and sit outside. Again the usual confusion of cups being delivered and having to go back into get drinks ourselves when everything is supposed to be table service to prevent unnecessary mingling. Staff are pleasant though. Nice location overlooking the canals.

Can't even give 1 star this weatherspoons manager brought me wrong food, I politely asked him to change it as it was wrong but he wouldn't and just walked away. My boyfriend had to ask him to come back and ask again and explain the had 2 different options of this food and we chose the option he didn't bring. He was smirking us evil and laughed at my face saying something like its all the same & then said with really patronising voice "well I can put it in a grill for you if that's any better" as in to say he won't change the dish still on purpose but can put on grill as in I was so stupid asking for the item I actually ordered which was grilled. Also trying to shame me in front of other customers from wanting to change the wrong dish. At this point my boyfriend asked "why are you being a d*head" which was fair enough cause of his behaviour, and in result of this he grabbed really hard my boyfriends breakfast plate from in front of this nose and took it away and said that's it your finished your not eating in here and later also banned us forever!! Which obviously was super patronising so eventually he threw a drink on him but can't blame him after he treated us like this. He called police on him too and was trying to play safe as he had body camera but can't see his smirking on that! He's also been a n*b before when we have walked our dog PAST weatherspoons and he's already shouting not to even come close cause Spoons can't have dogs. This guy needs to be FIRED this is not the only time he's banned people from sending food back (read other reviews). This manager is on some mad power trip and needs to be getting rid off. Worst customer service & worst weatherspoons AVOID this place!!!!

As with all Wetherspoons it was fine you get what’s expected nothing exceptional just run of the mill chain type food good value,” does what it says in the tin” Nice place to sit by the canal for a drink social distancing we’ll thought out. Tables around not cleared the whole time we were there but they were busy. Was it great no not really would we use it again yes as long as it’s just an everyday basic meal and no special occasion. Would happily stop off for a drink anytime

Quite busy in this JDW pub and restaurant with seating only available outside. I didn't fancy sitting outside in the drizzle, so waited a few minutes and downloaded the Wetherspoon app. The cup for the hot drink was delivered swiftly and the food a few minutes later. I had small fish and chips with unlimited hot drinks for a little over £6. The food was tasty, although the peas and chips were not very warm. The fish was cooked to the right temperature. I didn't complain due to the value for money and the fish cooked properly. All in all not as good as a previous visit and very noisy youths by the fruit machines.

What can I say you get what you pay for. Weatherspoons is just cheap and cheerful pub grub. Evening meal was lovely, small portions on adults meals considering my toddler had a kids meal and was about the same size of ours. Breakfast was disappointing wasn't freshly made. They have done they're best to deal with situation of covid19 and had screens and barriers in place with hand sanitiser on the door when entering . However staff could help to sit guests Down to avoid people just walking around you in different. directions. No one asked if our meals were OK and we didn't see any of the member of staff clean the tables after people left the tables only collect plates and cutlery after people left.

The waterfront is the best pub in the merry hill/ cradley heath area in my opinion. Great staff and I always get what I ask for..

Food was shocking service was horrendous and after sending our food back twice had to argue to get a refund, still go her occasionally but only for a drink unless things change food wise.
