I go nearly every week with friends for lunch on a Wednesday. We may only order cheesy chips and wine but we are always treated as if we've ordered fillet steak and champaign. A welcoming place to go. Went there for a catch up and food with friends. Good selection on the menu, I had fish and chips it came freshly cooked and hot. The music wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation without struggling to hear people talking. I been there a few times now and I not been disappointed.Parking: Parking is free for patrons make sure you submit your registration at the bar.

Great pub, friendly staff. Food is amazing and up to great standards. Our food got served by Lara who was extremely friendly overall.Parking: Parking is free, just don’t forget to register your license plate number on their tablet. As it is typically paid public parking but free parking for red lion guests.

The bar was really busy, so the food is good quality.But I can’t give more than 1* - I ordered food to collect online at 7.30pm. Arrived 7.15pm to be told it was going to be another 30 minute wait (so 25 mins late) and was given a feee coke. I was in a massive rush but nothing much I could do. Then I went back up at 7.45pm to ask about my order to be told it was another 20 minutes so 35 minutes late after ordering before 7pm, because they are busy. I’m sorry that’s not good enough especially if your order to take away and get a collection time.I had left my baby in the hospital to quickly dash out to collect the food to bring back to eat on the ward - I had googled places to do take away so I could I get back to my sick baby as quickly as possible and I actually cried in the bar when told. I was given the options of wait or cancel the order but I told Them I can’t exactly cancel it I need to eat something and would have expected a bit more support from the staff.Disappointed.

Came down for an early birthday meal this evening, bartender was amazing and really friendly. Food came out wrong, and sent back a few times but staff were awesome about it and I appreciate it’s not their fault! Offered free drinks as an apology which I wasn’t expecting but was so kind of them! The guy that I believe was management was really attentive and kind. Food was delicious apart from the few hiccups- will be back for sure, mainly for the amazing FOH service :)
