First time here in a year or more. Was a very quiet time we went. However, staff seem really unapproachable, and wait for food was at least 30-40 mins and we were only ones there apart from only few people dotted around. Food prices were pretty good and tasted okay, just wish service was a little

Always love the food here and been here 2 years previously for Christmas day and the food has been OK. Today's Christmas Dinner was absolutely amazing, the service was very fast and efficient and the staff were friendly as always and it all running like clockwork. I can't fault anything at all, thank you for a lovely meal and Christmas. We will be back again soon.

took my cousin out because it was her first Christmas without her son to cheer her up .we had 2x mega mixed grill. Chicken came out like jelly it was slimey and awful they took it to the kitchen to be “redone” and then asked us if we wanted anything extra because of the chicken. And we asked for a bit of extra steak but they said no and said they could only give us a sausage or a couple of onion rings and gave us 2 extra onion rings. By then our dinner was cold and they didn’t even heat it up. But because we were hungry we just ate it because we payed for it and we couldn't even use my blue light card to get a discount . My granddaughter had a steak and it was as dry as sand And tasted burnt . And the sweet potato nachos. They weren’t even nachos. They were toasted tortilla . They were really dry and had like 3 drops of chocolate sauce. And one teaspoon of icecream. What a joke. One particular staff with black hair was rude. Didnt even look at us and basically threw the food on the table. Where as one other staff was really apologetic and nice and agreed that she would never actually eat the food here herself. We spent around £50 for this meal to cheer my cousin up who lost her son In June. So we thought we would bring her out to cheer her up. we should be refunded some of this money. never coming here again, what a joke.our table number was number 926th of December 2023 around 2aclock.Kind regards I will wait for your reply

We recently attempted to book a wake for my recently deceased father at this pub, and the experience left much to be desired. Unfortunately, the staff, paticlary the Bar Manager displayed a surprising lack of compassion during this difficult time.Even though we were patent it was disheartening to encounter such a lack of understanding and empathy from the Bar Manager, who avoided helping us make a booking, but she constantly walking passed us ignoring us completely.I hope that no one else has to encounter such a lack of basic human compassion, when thier are in the same circumstances.

Typical Hungry Horse branding, you know what to expect. Pub food done to a good standard with average prices, catering for families and couples. I had a couple of kids in tow and they were impressed with the ice cream.

Food was cold and wasn't cooked correctly. I was told that cod was available but when it came out it wasn't. They offered me something else I had fried eggs but they came out swimming in grease.

Haven't been there for over a decade until last week It hasn't changed much in 20yrs. It was fairly busy and food was adequate but nothing special. Noisy with families and kids, which is what you'd expect really.Kid-friendliness: For 'Kid friendliness' read 'out of control' (and not the fault of the establishment)
I only wish I had taken a picture of my food but I was too hungry! I had a rare steak which was cooked to perfection, corn on the cob and mexican pasta salad, as part of the mix it up section and I wasn't disappointed absolutely amazing and no room for anything else, the food was hot and came with a service with a smile, Claire who took the order was welcoming, funny and polite.This is the first time I have visited for food and would definitely visit again.

Popped in for lunch on a Monday with the girlfriend. Had the gammon, egg, chips and peas, onion rings and pineapple! It was superb and amazing value for the money! (It's on special on a monday). I would definitely recommend it! ?The staff are always friendly and helpful!

Had an excellent meal on sunday 12th nov. Both my wife & myself could not fault anything. Great value. Had the pleasure to be served by a wonderful lady by the name of claire, really couldn't do enough for us, & made the visit that much better. Nice, sociable staff are hard to come by, well done claire & thank you.

The food was really value for money especially with the offers they do, we was quickly seated and served by Claire our waitress who was very polite and lovely, the food cooked by chef daz was really nice and came out quick and hot too which is an added bonus! Will definitely be returning!

The Waiter Clare, was totally run off her feet with management nowhere to be seen; this didn't stop clare from providing a top class service. Food was great aswell. She was polite & professional. Clare is a credit to the pub, and she definitely needs some help (even at quite times!)Thanks Clare.
