Have visited this place several times and sat just gone worst meal I’ve had . Service so slow I had to wait ages for main course to come . Very disappointed with Luke warm pork belly draft and also . Very busy place but can’t cater for demand and inexperienced waiting staff . Would not go again needs refurb and training to get back up to the way it was some years ago ..

Been many times but this time service was not only very slow but very poor , starter was cold and breads not brought to the table so asked , oil dip given but still no bread until we asked again , we had to help ourselves to serviettes and black pepper ! Staff just kept rushing by and we couldn’t attract their attention, the meal was nice but again not very hot , we ordered dessert which was given and the staff walked away without providing spoons which took a while to ask someone to provide ,overall disappointing as it was a celebration meal

Just had a takeaway pizza and calzone. Food was just as good as if eating at the restaurant. Quick delivery and absolutely 1st class food. Strongly recommended.

Spare of the moment thing.....Me and the Mrs where stuck for a place to go, friday night and it was about 8pm when we finally decided to eat out someplace!! but where?? we had called a few places and they couldn't fit us in due to time kitchen was closing! Called Cafe Casita and they had no problem seating us for an evening of delight.ill begin with the service, felt like part of the family from the moment we stepped through the door, the people make you feel like your eating in their own dining room, service was quick food came out fresh and hot we had starters the Mrs had Salmone Affumicato amazing!! I hade Muscles in a garlic butter sauce also out of this world, for mains i had the sirloin steak with the Barolo wine & bacon sauce, she had Spaghetti Polpette we were both gob smacked on how amazing this food was.For pudding i had Connoli and she had Tiramisu and one of the best sicillian wines i have ever had the pleasure of drinking.to say the least i will be back as often as i can. 5* review isnt nearly enough for our experience here.Thank you

This place is adorable, I can’t believe I haven’t been before. It feels like stepping back 20 years, down an old cobbled alleyway in Italy, it doesn’t feel like Gornal!Slight mix up with our booking, although we had confirmation via email and the booking app, the staff assured us we hadn’t, even after showing them the email etc, so it was a disappointing start and then no one came to serve us for 20 mins. HOWEVER, the service got a lot better. All staff were helpful but we did have to call people over, I think where we sat, couldn’t be seen by staff.Every dish was clearly made fresh and there was no rush between courses. Full of flavour and nicely presented.I love the authenticity, it just lacked the going out feel for a Saturday night. This may have been due to our booking being overlooked, so tucked into a last space.I would go back, as I think it deserves another chance, I just don’t think we got you all in your glory! It’s clearly a well loved restaurant.

Great food as usual. Just had a 30 minute wait for our order to be taken. Or would have been 5 stars.

Visited with my friend as we hadn't been in years, food was just as nice as I remembered, the 2 for £10 cocktails were good, alot better than the overpriced beers and wine. I would re visit with my husband.

First time eating here after saying for several years that we should try. How dissapointed I am that it took me this long! The menu had not one thing that me and my partner would not want to try, the staff were attentive and very polite and the food was unreal. Very authentic and a gem on our doorstep.

Service à bit slow to start, but improved considerably. Main courses were great - portions on the large side! Carbonara lovely, risotto very rich, and desserts wonderful. Bit warm in the restaurant, but nice atmosphere and a very reasonable bill. I’d recommend wholeheartedly!

Lovely, local and authentic Italian! The restaurant has a very comfortable, homely feel about it, and the staff add to that sentiment. Great range of dishes available which, of what we had, was delicious. The only negative I could mention is that the music was just a little too loud.
