We came to this pub, some 5 months ago and we gave it 5/5, however., today we came again... The man behind the bar said take a seat, but I knew it was bar service, so I waited for service. My friend, however took a seat! The "waitess' then said to my friend 'Dont sit there when I'm cleaning the table" , in an abrupt tone to say the least! RUDE!!. My friend has autism and this didn't go down well. I had to ask if my friend, now if he needed to leave, as this upset him!! Why couldn't the staff clean the table whilst you are sitting there ?? Obviously. We now needed to leave due to confrontation. My friend told the bar man behind the bar that we wouldn't be visiting again and his response was " have a nice day". Beware of bad attitude in this pub.

Booked online for breakfast, earliest available slot was 11am (Would’ve preferred earlier) When we arrived the place was empty.No fried eggs and no white toast available for breakfast?Coffee with breakfast should’ve been £2.50 but was served a large coffee and charged extra. When queried blonde lady who was presumably duty manager was abrupt and quite rude. We asked for a large OJ not large coffees. Manager walked off away from table as my mom was still talking to her! Didn’t feel very welcome, feels like online breakast slots were blocked out to stop people arriving.

I really didn't think we would get a table as we were a group of 6, hadn't booked, it was a Friday early evening and when we walked in the place was extremely busy and all tables looked full. However Edel was amazing, she worked her magic and managed to get us a table without much wait at all. There weren't queues at the bar and the food waiting time from ordering wasn't long either fantastic for how busy it was. All the staff were genuinely happy to help not just the false politeness you get some places. The food was great well done to the kitchen staff and we all really enjoyed dining with you, thanks all at Castle View.

Having just eaten here earlier, today 3.1.24, having eaten there many times before, have to say as a family of four, we were very disappointed.Everything we wanted to order was unavailable, was told the deliveries hadn't turned up.the employee that served us was rude, as we needed to relook at menu options.but he was more interested in serving other people waiting.Even though the food was edible and warm, we ate it as we were hungry and had 2 hungry children with us.we ordered chicken breast on skewers, as described on the menu was inactual fact plastic chicken on skewers, (reformed chicken).The children's meal well chicken pieces with fat on on.Corb on the cob must of been cut into 10 servings as it was literally a mouth size portion.No one came and asked if we were happy with the meal, infact not anyone was out of front of house.When it was hungry horse was an enjoyable place to eat, will be a long time before we use the venue again.Each to their own but was very disappointed.Maybe a little customer care might be worth thinking about!!!

Often eat here at least once a month, always great service and fantastic food, staff are always helpful and cheerful. Prices are good and what you would expect to pay with portions always plentiful. Good array of drinks at again a fair price. Always had good experience here and if not I know the staff would/will always do whatever they can to make things right.Parking: Always plenty space and not far walk from carpark to doorWheelchair accessibility: No steps wide entrance

Visited dudley for a music concert and stayed local to the castle view.We had dinner there on the evening of the concert and breakfast the next day which both we're really good.Especially the breakfast as it set me up for the day and journey home.The staff we're very pleasant and welcoming Especially the lovely blonde lady that served us in the morning for our breakfast visit.So if your ever near here give it a visit you won't be disappointed ??Parking: Parking wasn't an issue but the same old story non disabled people in the spaces set aside for restricted people.Not the hosts fault just thick lazy people again..

My first visit to this pub chain.Arrived at 12.30pm 16.10.23 to a really warm welcome from the staff. Really very friendly and were so helpful when ordering our food.Bar person was so funny as was the server who brought out our food. I liked that they returned to check on how our food was.Food was spot on.We had the Thursday special. Crispy chicken was really gud value. I had half wrapped and brought home. Portions were very gud. But not wasteful. Every day there is a different offer available. Really gud choices on the menu.Place was spotlessly clean.A mix of customers. Students, mums with toddlers and couples. Nice atmosphere.Only loses 1 point as it was really cold in there.I would definitely visit again.

We were not disappointed.The pub itself is beautifully decorated for Christmas, the breakfast was delicious ? we was served by a lovely welcoming, friendly lady. The service was first class.We will be returning ♥️We highly recommend this pub ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a table for 11 people, and had the festive menu. The staff were amazing- nothing was too much trouble, despite our varying tastes and eccentricities (and the singing!).Like the service, the food was first class. Everyone had a really lovely time, and were happy with the choice to come here for our annual Xmas get-together.

Called in for tea and then later for a drink after an event as we were staying next door. Staff were amazing on an exceptionally busy Saturday evening. Manageress made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to be friendly and helpful. Food was good value, piping hot, tasty and quickly served. It's located close to castle and museum so we will definitely look forward to planning another visit. Thank you for making a lovely evening.

been here a few times. food is excellent and the atmosphere is always welcoming and uplifting. the staff are amazing and always make sure you’re visit is pleasant- ESPECIALLY JOHN. he was the highlight of our last meal and continued to make us laugh and make sure everything was okay from our meals to our experience. will definitely be coming again soon!

Staff are really nice and food is a little above average, not the best and definitely not the worst we have had at a pub. We had a Sunday roast each, they were ok and hit the spot but meats are tough and not much flavour. Overall decent and not so busy for a Sunday lunch and never had to book.
