My husband, grandaughter and I enjoyed the most delicious fish and chips today. Fabulous food, served by lovely ladies. Thank you Hobs and Sons team.

long queue but service still good it's interesting that they cook with beef dripping. old fashion way. but it wasn't for me odd favour and greasy.

Fish and chips are to die for, best fish I have had for a long time!! They open at 11am so I would advise you queue as early as you can as they do get extremely busy. Fish and chips were £9.50 and worth every penny. Yum yum x

The chips were good but cold. And the portions were tiny £3.50 didn’t fill me up. Maybe a child’s portion never cooked in lard so they did taste utterly amazing. The cod is incredibly expensive about £7 or £8 for fish and chips. Being based in the 1950s they don’t do pies or sausages and no bread & butter or curry dip. I must say tho if you go to the back country museum and don’t get chips you are still missing out they are the best chips in the whole of the Black Country

one of the best fish n chips ive had while visiting the UK and its inside the Black Country Living Museum which is awesome. queu is usuallly very long but if you wait til late then u wont have to stand in line, thats what we did and definitely great decision. there are benches nearby for if u want to sit down and eat. staff are friendly as well.

Usually fantastic but food was absolutely disgusting today fish was that burnt it didn't resemble a fish the chips were OK but portion size was again disgusting you'd think for a tenna at least be enough food to fill up a 5 year old overall today's experience was not good and I would not recommend a usually fantastic chip shop

Old time fish and chips, in beef dripping very nice

These fish and chips are just the best. Cooked in beef dripping, the old fashioned way. Granted, they are a little pricier than your local chippy, but portion is large and the food is delicious.

The Chips that everyone raves about cooked in drippingwere hard flavourless and undercooked tasted like frozen ones to meA portion here is a cone of chips everywhere elsefish was alright Nothing specialYou Have to take a second mortgage out if you want a drink too a very small bottle of pop for £3.50A small bottle of water for £2.80Gets expensive fast if you are feeding a familyNone of the staff looked like they wanted to be thereMaybe the fish and chips are better from the old small chip shop ?Wish I'd had a cob from the pub instead
