My local pub for more years than I'd care to remember. Great staff and good honest food; I eat here regularly. They do a good cappuccino too. Their New Year's Eve party was great fun, well attended by a lot of people all having a great time. The carvery can get busy on Sundays so I tend to partake on a weekday evening, breakfast is always good. Nice friendly clientele too. There is an excellent function room upstairs too.

We held my Dads wake in the banqueting suite today. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the initial call to today. The room was beautiful, we had our own facilities and away from the christmas parties. The hot buffet food was lovely and the chap on the bar was so warm, friendly and couldnt do enough for us. Thankyou so much for making a very difficult day bareable

Meat very dry, frozen vegetables, rock hard potatoes and oily Yorkshire pudding, need I say more. So disappointing, don’t waste your money!!

We walked in as a last minute booking and sat and waited for a table , Samantha who was head of house managed to get us a table really quickly as the pub was so busy . We was shown to our table and the service was impeccable from the moment we walked in . Food was piping hot and plenty of everything the staff are just so helpful and polite will definitely return again .Kid-friendliness: Very welcoming

Banging carvery, best in the area by far......Great choice of fresh veg, proper meat roastie's, homemade Yorkie's, cracking cut of meat, & eat in or takeaway option!I'm that takeaway guy, pay for it, box it, and on my way to work to polish it, Banging....Big shout out to "Sam", one of the gafa's, lovely women, cant do enough for you, always pleasant and approachable, and always has a smile :)Give it a try,x

Just wanted to say a big thank you! We grabbed a takeaway carvery for 7 people while we were in the middle of unpacking boxes after a house move. My 2 year old son has allergies so I always get anxious trying anywhere new, as sometimes he’s just not catered for. I didn’t need to worry though, as the staff checked everything and advised what was safe. It was lovely that he was able to enjoy the same dinner as everyone else without worrying. Thank you so much for putting an anxious allergy momma at ease.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of dairy free options, the staff checked everything and having boiled potatoes was a real winner as they were a dairy free alternative to mash.
