Got there at 3.45pm & met by a barman who told us the kitchen was closed for an hour. No problem. Ordered drinks and waited for another person to arrive. At 5pm went to order food to be told it was prebooked tables only for food. I spoke to the original barman who told us the manager had changed the rules, yet nobody told us and we'd ordered drinks we actually didn't need. I told him I wanted to see the manager so I could make a formal complaint. Manager never came. Place not even half full so no excuse of being too busy.As now seen by the reply from Vanessa the manager, her break took priority over customer service and taking 5 minutes to apologise. Not even sending someone else on her behalf whilst taking her break. I fully understand the situation you were facing but where does the customer come in all this? Poor!

Staff are very friendly. Food is cheap. Good offers.would recommended Burgers ,they are always tasty. Was not very impressed by the chicken fajitas sizzling meal. But the chicken nachos are amazing. Everything was clean and staff are attentive.

Under staffed.(always) no matter when you go. Not disputing that the staff work hard, there just needs to be more of them. This is a management issue. Food orders missed. (happened several times on different visits). Dietary requirements dismissed. Ordered a vegetarian wrap which came out with griddle marks on and apparently there is a vegetarian section of the griddle? I find this hard to believe. People waiting at the bar who had already asked for their desserts twice. Unclean. Would never go again.

I just wanted to 'Thank' the staff at the Meadow Lark yesterday 16/08/23 for their amazing hospitality for our family. we held my fathers wake there and they couldn't have been nicer. the food was lovely. it was hot, fresh and well presented. everyone commented on how nice it was and different to the normal buffets as we had onion rings, fried chicken wings, saucages, garlic bread, bbq chicken pieces, battered mushrooms. All the staff were really nice too!....and the brownies were out of this world!Thank You for making a hard day end on a lovely note!

I just had an amazing time at this restaurant! The food was seriously so good – each dish felt like a burst of flavors that showed how much effort the chef puts into their work. The staff there were really nice and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. I'd totally suggest this place if you're into delicious food and a warm atmosphere created by a dedicated team.

I am a regular visitor to The Meadow Lark . I met my partner there for lunch after finishing early from work on a Friday. We bought a round of drinks and found a table before ordering food. My partner ordered the Mediterranean chicken skewers, I ordered steak & chicken combo. Unfortunately they had ran out of onion rings, so I had to have a substitute of corn on the cob, and didn't bother ordering an extra portion of onion rings for my partner, which she asked for.Meals arrived, but they weren't sizzling!I joked with the staff, quoting the statement on the menu, 'if its not sizzling, we will replace it'.We started to eat our meals when I tried to cut my steak, and I couldn't stick my fork into it it was like a piece of rubber. My partner called a member of staff over and a replacement meal was offered. A second meal arrived, but that too was not acceptable. The steak was tough, over cooked, and full of gristle. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. I regularly spend £35-£50 everytime we visit, but I would think twice about ordering a steak again. The staff are fantastic, and make you feel welcome, and the pub have some great offers, so I won't let this put me off in the future. Just don't disappoint me next time. Cheers

Good service, large portions. We needed extra people adding to our booking the management made this happen at short notice. And children for £1 each is really good value.

Service quality has gone down. Staff are miserable and clearly can't be bothered to help. Food items are always missing and / or incorrect. Staff brought out food at different times and missed a whole meal off. It was also empty, not busy, so what is the excuse? Terrible vegetarian options and they also cooked a veggie tortilla with meat oil.

Standard family pub, no frills, mediocre pub food. Food served warm, mixed grill missing items, poor communication from staff that have no enthusiasm. Don't order from table using App too time consuming causing long delay in serving.

Lovely meals. I wish they had a Sunday roast as I missed it when I was there one Sunday a week ago.Vegetarian options: I never chose a vegetarian option but I know it's on the menu.Parking: Loads of parking but it's a very busy pub so it maybe hard at times to get a space.

Three of us visited the Meadowlark for late lunch on Saturday 15th of July at 3:30. This ‘Sizzling’ branded pub / restaurant is in a purpose-built, relatively modern building on the edge of a residential estate. The premises are open plan and nicely decorated although signs of wear are evident in some places. On our arrival all unoccupied tables had been cleared ready for guests arriving. Cleanliness is good. The menu provides a reasonable choice of food and there is a good selection of hot and cold drinks available at the bar. It is a family pub / restaurant and at the time of our visit there seemed more children than adults, some of whom were being allowed to run riot. We ordered at the bar, rather than through the app, and we were quickly served by a friendly member of staff. Drinks were prepared immediately to carry back to our table, although they were almost knocked from my hand by unruly children. The food was brought to our table within 20 minutes of ordering and was nicely prepared. Food is typical chain pub fayre (frozen chips etc). We ordered sizzling rump steak, double hunter’s chicken and fish & chips. Two of the dishes were good value for money, although the fish & chips were disappointing (thin fish / dry chips).Overall, this is a pretty good family pub / restaurant with efficient, friendly service and reasonable food at a generally fair price. If you don’t mind eating in the middle of a playground I would recommend it. If you want a quiet or romantic meal I would give it a miss. We would probably return but avoid ordering the fish & chips.
