**UPDATE OCTOBER 2023**I've not been here for a few years but went back there this evening to order a takeaway, and as always very welcoming and friendly staff,Prices are slightly higher than any other Indian restaurant around the area but food was very nice.Next time I will be making a visit to eat in.************************Great food, reasonable prices, a good week day offer of 3 courses for £10.95 very friendly and polite staff, never had any complaints with the food, either with delivery or dining in. personally I think it's the best Indian restaurant in the area. Staff are always willing to go out of their way for you and nothing never seems to be too much bother. they don't keep pestering you either while you're eating. I come over a couple of minutes after your food has arrived at the table just to make sure everything is ok then they leave you to it they come back every now and again to see if you need anymore drinks. I've used this place for years, dining in and takeaways. I'll be using this place for many years to come.Parking: Outside the restaurant there are parking spaces for about three vehicles, there is street parking and parking outside other stores.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessibility ramp, so user friendly for all abilities.

Ordered some food earlier tonight and arrived cold. I then rang them to inform them of my stone cold cold meal and was shouted at for it! The restaurant then insulated me calling me “horrible” and “disgusting” The cold food has happened more than once now. This place is a joke. If you want a warm, full belly I would highly advise you stay away from this place at all costs. There’s multiple other restaurants near this one.

We’ve ordered from here for the past 12 years and always recommend to others. So when they recently changed the chicken tikka masala it was very bland, watery, no taste and a different colour. So when I called to ask I spoke to a very helpfully gentleman who knew what I meant and for the next 3 orders he requested to chef it was cooked the old way which is far better. So when I called today someone else answered who didn’t understand what I meant put me on the phone to someone with broken English and basically told me to order from somewhere else. They were extremely rude and after 12 years of using this Indian it’s a very poor service. I understand ingredients/ recipes change and if they didn’t want to do it the old way there is a way of explaining. Definitely won’t be ordering or recommending anymore, I just hope the helpful gentleman reads this review

Made an order, asked for a REAL time delivery, ???? Told maximum time 1 hour 20 mins..... called to be told would be "about " another 20 minutes... Tried several times to explain that I had been told as above. To be hung up on. Then 10 mins later receive a call from Rowley village to be told "they had now cancelled my order!!!!!! Unbelievable how rude they were. I have used this place for many years. Spent minimum of £40 a time. Change of address... and they have now lost a regular customer. Unbelievable.....My recommendations of the past are now withdrawn....... Out of 10 are now below 0 zero......

New ownership just not like the old Rowley village... still nice just lost it's touch , shame really used to be my favourite Indian restaurant for years
We visited on the spur of the moment and was the best decision ? Fantastic flavoursome food , my partner had the mackerel sag chilli, garlic rice & peshwari naan , I had the village special curry with mushroom rice & keema naan all excellent, attentive service the whole time and very reasonable priced. Will definetly come here again

Normally order through Uber when having delivery, same every timeLast night had to ring restaurant to order as issues on appOrder was 50% wrongRang restaurant, granted it was closing time, but absolutely no interest in what we were trying to say regards order, in fact they were clearly of opinion we were drunks and put phone on side and walked away leaving the Mrs fuming even more.£50 order every forthrightAnd sit down every few months with friends.Would of accepted an apology and missing items on next time we order, but no interest what so ever in rectifying the mistakeWould strongly advise if ordering here that you order on Uber or other app, so you have some method of come back when having issues, as direct to the restaurant clearly has no customer services.

When I lived in the area used this place all the time and never disappointed. Beautiful Currys, naan breads and starters and the portions are huge, unlike most curry houses that bulk their curries out with onions, veg, tomatoes etc these curries are loaded with meat. I'm yet too finish a full curry so make sure your hungry when you go, not too mention their naan breads are bigger than anywhere else I've eaten. Occasionally I drive all the way from Bromsgrove for a takeaway from this place, as no curries houses round Bromsgrove come even close. Keep up the good work Rowley Village. Years of service to the local community and I know why. Good food, huge portions and good prices.
