Food as gone down. Chips are like razor blades and prices are ridiculous for what you get.. the gaffer is fine but the snotty attitude on some of the staff are totally out of order.. wonder sometimes if the prices are made up or she doesn't know what she is doing. I've been going to this chip shop for 30 years when on my way home from West brom games. Yes it's changed hands in that time but the standard has never dropped. Incredible. It's often the highlight of my day as the football dissappoints ? Just gutted its closed on Sunday games as I live 2 hours away to go regularly ? boing

If I'm working in that part of Smethwick I always use Marios for my fish and chips. They definitely are the most consistent when it comes to quality, I've never had a bad bag of fish and chips.
Chips were horrid, burger was worse. I will not go there again

Well, the best chippy so far. I'm a passing by customer who thought I'd try the Chippy. Absolutely did not regret it. The food was 1st class. I enjoyed it so much that I now have this place as my regular. I drive past 4 Chippy's to use Mario's catch, this is at least a 2.5mile drive from where I live. The drive is well worth it. This is now my falimys regular Chippy. If you haven't already tried it, i highly recommend that you do. Staff are polite and attentive. I've been now using this place for the last 6 weeks and have been recommending it since.
