Sometimes a smile and a “good morning” can be all you need to welcome the day. The team at Queens Cost Coffee always brighten my day. Working at a hospital can sometimes test ones mettle, but the NHS is built on good will, hope and community spirit and these qualities are in evidence in the staff at Queens and in the Costa coffee shop.

I haven't been in this Costa for a while as it's not clean in there at all,I did a review before about this but obviously nobody has taken any notice.I went to sit at a table with the soft bucket seats,there was crisps all over the seats and old food all round the seat back so I got some paper napkins and cleaned it all off so I could sit.I use many Coffee Shops in Solihull but this is the worst for cleanliness,there's dust on the wood surrounds and light shades.Don't know how they get away with it with serving food.

the employees are so friendly and welcoming, i’m always doing my work there every week since it has a such nice atmosphere. the tropical mango bubble frappe and lemon drizzle loaf are my personal favourites, really recommend it! :) However, as a regular customer i’ve noticed that the lady with the red hair and tattoos on her arms is a bit rude, i had an peach iced tea which she made and was too watered down with ice. I told her that is there anything to sweeten the flavour and she asked whether i wanted more ice? It was a little busy at the time but that gives no excuse to act cheeky. Since then i don’t go inside if i see her, other than that everybody else is very kind which is what i admire

The worst Costa I have ever been in… staff are mess and unprofessional. Counter top looked like a disaster zone. While staff moan and groan about the job! Staff training required asap!

I visited late Friday evening whilst waiting for my husband. Despite it being late, there was a large queue in front of me though some people left rather than waiting any longer in the queue. There were two members of staff working. The lady was clearly getting worked up, making mistakes, telling the other member of staff off. To keep it simple I ordered a mint tea as that just involves dunking a tea bag in hot water. The two people behind me got served first and I was left waiting despite them having more complex drinks. When I could finally get the waitresses attention I asked her for a refund as I could not wait any longer. In fairness, she did agree to a refund and gave me the drink also. The staff are clearly stressed and not coping very well. Not a nice experience for anyone to witness staff just falling apart.

Wednesday 1 June 2022, My friend and I met for a day out shopping in Solihull. Our first port of call was to ‘Costa’ Coffee’ in Touchwood Shopping Centre, where we went for breakfast. We entered and found a nice table for two. We both had white toast perfectly browned with butter and marmalade, which was really nice and we both had hazelnut latte’s which set us up for our shopping spree. We spent a nice hour here chatting and enjoying the atmosphere.

I meet up with a friend every now and again and always go to Costa in Touchwood. We each usually have 2 latte coffees and stay about an hour. On the last 2 occasions before we've left the table a young man has come and sprayed and wiped our table which us all well and good but surely that should be done once we leave. Service usually pretty good

This review relates to the Costa in Mel Square in Solihull. Went as a family of 4 adults last Sunday. It wasn’t overly busy, tables outside and inside available so not packed. The staff however were soooooooo slow. I waited 15 minutes, yes you read that right, 15 minutes in the queue. It was painful. There were three staff on who I think had agreed to see who could work the slowest. I was tempted to walk out but my son and gf had their their toasties ready in hand and wanted to stay. Once served the drinks and food were fine, usual Costa standard, but the staff need a severe talking to. If they don’t want to work in the hospitality sector then there are plenty that do.

I always visit costa Solihull weekly as I work within touchwood shopping centre but the experience I had today was truly shocking. The store manager (a young lady with dark hair) with terribly rude. I visit costa weekly and have never received such poor service from a member of staff especially the store manager I would never expect to be treated and spoken to the way I was. I came into the store and staff were speaking amongst themselves behind the till failing to recognise that there was a customer (myself) at the till. When I was being served I wasn't greeted with a smile nor a simple good afternoon (manners are free in this world and cost not a pound or penny). Baring in mind I come every week to costa as a regular and all staff apply touchwood discount to my order this manager failed to recognise that I worked within touchwood which was quite blatant however this is not the issue, the issue is the way the member of staff had dealt with the situation, she proceeded on to telling me that she could not see my uniform (which was quite unbelievable considering I had a t shirt displaying the logo for the company I work at) and that maybe if I \\\"wasn't on the phone talking then I would be able to have asked properly\\\" and that she is \\\"the only store manager\\\" I did tell her that I was not trying to be rude or argue but simply just displaying my concerns with the way she had spoken to myself she then didn't offer an apology or try to be nice but turned her back and continued speaking to her colleague who honestly looked quite as stunned as I was that the general manager had spoken to me the way she had . It is honestly appalling and seems as if staff need to be trained further on how to deliver good customer service to their fellow customers. I hope I never have to experience such rudeness from a staff member and that she manages to improve the way she speaks to people.

I used to enjoy a coffee here from time to time, now it’s gone down the pan. Unenthusiastic customer service, and rude and aggressive staff. I had walked in to join the que inside, and was man handled by some bint named 'Christina' - yes it’s time to name and shame. Grabbing me by the arm and marching me outside was not funny, and the people who witnessed this were appalled. Needless to say I told her that if she ever touched me again I would be filling a report for assault. In my opinion, staff should never put their hands on a customer, no matter what. Work it out Costa Coffee. If I came to your shop three times a week and spend £20 - you have lost £3,000 plus a year just from my business. Needless to say I will never be going back. The staff are always miserable – like they have lost the will to live Customer service and all round synopsis 0/10
