While visiting family, we agreed to meet at O'Neil- lovely, lively atmosphere, lots of space amd great music.
Ordered some food - absolutely delicious food, good price and served quickly. We had a mix of food from the nachos to calamari to enchiladas and chicken wings. Lots of choice and lots of flavour!

Miller & Carter Hockley Heath

We had a lovely evening at Miller & Carter Hockley Heath and it absolutely lived up to expectations.
The steak was excellent—cooked perfectly, full of flavour, and clearly top-quality meat. A real highlight was the Camembert mash potatoes: rich, creamy, and indulgent, easily one of the best sides we’ve had. Desserts were just as impressive, beautifully presented and genuinely delicious, the perfect way to finish the meal.
There was a bit of a wait for the main course, but nothing dramatic at all, especially considering the restaurant was almost at full capacity. The calm atmosphere and attentive service made the time pass easily.
Staff were amazing throughout—plentiful, friendly, and genuinely helpful without being intrusive. The overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a proper meal.
Plentiful free on-site parking is another big plus and makes visiting stress-free.
All in all, fantastic food, great service, and a calm, enjoyable atmosphere.

The drinks made by Qas were incredible so refreshing and perfectly balanced. Huge shoutout to Ameen, the manager, for being so welcoming and professional, and to Hamza for his amazing service and friendly attitude Honestly, everything was 10/10 great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Definitely coming back soon!

Been to Cheals a few times over the years. Their tasting menu has always been a worth while experience and the afternoon tea is up there with some of the better ones I've have at that price range.
Good atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the food.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and just the right mix of relaxed and lively. Jess and Oli are absolute naturals behind the bar — friendly, attentive, and they genuinely care about their customers.

What really stood out was the personal touch… they overheard it was my husband’s birthday and went out of their way to make us feel so special. It completely made our night and meant so much ?

The cocktails are incredible — beautifully presented and perfectly balanced (honestly, it’s hard to pick a favourite!). You can really tell they’ve put thought and care into every detail.

We always have a delivery from Lloyds. Omg the food is absolutely amazing By far the best we have had. We always have a chicken bhuna. The chicken is always soft and delicious I highly recommend this place.

Turknazz Restaurant Shirley

We had an amazing experience at Turk Naz Restaurant in Shirley! We ordered the mixed grill and chicken Shawarma —everything was cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and beautifully presented.

A special mention to Sarah, who served us with such warmth and professionalism. She really made our visit even more enjoyable.

Honestly, everything was just perfect. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Incredible food (both breakfast and dinner!), comfortable rooms - absolutely great service from Hermione who was the absolute best and looked after our large group for 3 nights with a smile on her face and dealing with every request with ease and efficiency. Absolutely love this place and frequent here often for a Sunday lunch. Great country pub atmosphere, food is excellent and the staff are always attentive and accommodating.

The Railway Inn

We went last Sunday it was great from start to finish. They had disabled parking, which was right outside.
They were prompt in seating us and taking our order. The drinks came and soon after the food. One of our party had beef and The other person had pork. The food was amazing the Yorkshires are huge! The portions are generous and therefore filling.
The area we sat in which was opposite the bar was not huge, but it did not feel cramped. It has recently been renovated to a high standard and this was noted by us.
We were able to take Home a doggy bag for our pooch, which was great and thoroughly enjoyed by Luca!
Perhaps the only improvement we would like to suggest is more vegetables on the plates and less carbs!
Great food and great service, therefore happy customers and customers who will be back and raving about it to other people!

Lovely lunch for 2 at Cote. The French onion soup was delicious as well as the potted crab. The pistachio creme brûlée was a treat and really tasty. We were served by Joshua who was polite, friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning.

Lovely local spot with a really welcoming atmosphere. The Sunday lunch is excellent and definitely worth a visit, and the wine selection is fantastic with plenty of great options to choose from. Always a great spot to relax and enjoy good food and drink. Staff are always super friendly

Where do I start? Fantastic dining experience. Waiters very helpful, courteous and friendly. Explained the menu and offered an alternative dish for my daughter who thoroughly enjoyed the recommendation. I have dined there many times and try something different from the menu. Each choice seems to surpass the last. My husband loves spices and each dish meets his spice specification. Thank you chefs for raising the bar in Warwickshire and front of house for excellent service. Looking forward to our return. Many Thanks

I had a really enjoyable experience at Dawaat in Knowle. The food was full of flavour and tasted freshly made, with a great range of dishes to choose from. The staff were welcoming, polite, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the visit. The atmosphere was relaxed and clean, making it a nice place to eat with family or friends. Overall, Dawaat offers good-quality food and friendly service, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good Indian restaurant in Knowle.

Flute & Flagon

Been here a few times and have to say it's a very welcoming pub with a good atmosphere. If you're a sports fan it's a particularly good for sporting events with at least 8 screens here showing a multitude of sports from the premier league to championship football .Also great for the 6 nations Rugby. A nice pint of Carling is around £4.20 . Other events include a Friday Quiz night and music on Saturday night.
I've not sampled the food yet but judging by the empty plates going back that looked good too.Gives Witherspoons a really good run for their money Probably the best pub in Solihull to view live sport.Your likely to have a good view of a screen wherever you sit or stand. Highly recommended.

We have been going to the Spice club since it opened about 20 years ago. Raj and his colleagues have always been amazing, very attentive to our every need. The food has been consistently delicious, including the many takeaways we have had over the years. We were served by Nat for our bottomless Brunch on Saturday 17th August- we had a great girls day - drinks, atmosphere, service and vibes were all great! The Kitchen Co Eatery

I often order delivery from here. Food is always top notch. I decided to visit and order takeaway as I was passing this way. The restaurant looked beautiful inside, lovely decor, clean and inviting, the staff member wasn't very welcoming though. To order takeaway you have to go around the back to a hatch, when I got to the hatch the staff member was sat on a chair and didn't really acknowledge me. Another staff member came into view and said hello. The one sat down then stood up to take my order. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier and she seemed to struggle to understand my question and I felt her to be a little abrupt with me. I finally placed my order, I popped to a nearby shop and when I returned my food was ready, I noticed when I got home that 2 items I'd asked for were not there, after checking the receipt they had not been added, but I know I'd asked for them. The food as always was absolutely delicious!! I think I'll stick to delivery in future as its so much easier to order online than in person.

Took my mother out for mother days and it was beautiful. The roast rump beef was lovely and the staff were very attentive. The general manager was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal and will be coming back frequently.

Village Grill - Village Hotel Solihull

Excellent gym, good equipment, decent pool and excellent staff in particular Kerry B.S he has been fantastic. Very professional, warm and welcoming - because of Kerry i referred two other family members both whom joined the gym - they met Kerry and felt the same about her. I automatically knew who they were talking about. Keep up the super work. Have met some rude/snobby new staff members however I wouldn't fault the older staff members therefore still giving a 5 star review :)

McDonald's

The staff were very helpful. Cash only at the counter at this branch, so I was forced to use the machine that had no option to have my muffin un toasted.

There is plenty of indoor seating and some outside

On my 2nd visit my big mac was only luke warm despite being made to order so if you want your food, avoid here.

Desco Lounge

A great restaurant or a stop off for a coffee and snack. Prices are reasonable and the service is very good. Parking is in Parkgate underground carpark (below Asda) or on street across the other side of the Stratford Road. Outside seating is available for the warmer weather. Recommended.

Ale Rooms

Still my favourite in Knowle and ive been here 3 years now. Popped up for a quick pint on monday night and atmosphere was perfect. Menu of beers which always makes me happy and swift service too.

My husband and I ate lunch at Jade Wok today, and it was wonderful. It was our first time, and we really enjoyed the food. So much, that we ordered more to go. The gentleman who waited on us was so kind, explaining the dishes and helping us choose something good. He was friendly and served the food the way we requested. We travel from far away for business in Solihull, and now Jade Wok is our favorite place to eat.

Came here for my wife’s birthday 17 0f us in all despite the numbers everything was spot on food came out pretty well all together which was good.We are regulars but a number of our party were here for the first time but everyone enjoyed the food.Thanks Mash and all your staff for looking after us

Oggi and his family provided excellent food and service for our daughter’s wedding night reception. All guests were readily forthcoming in their praise for the quality, value for money and the amount of food that was provided. Would highly recommend this establishment.

A wonderful afternoon of champagne tasting. Gary is super helpful and knowledgeable about the wines and champagnes. Absolutely wonderful, we will be back to discover the latest 32 wines on tap in the bar area! A lovely nibbles menu too to accompany it.

This is a favourite local curry house. The staff are always extremely welcoming and friendly. The food is always of a good quality and it's great value for money.

Loving the new renovations feels light and airy. Food was yummy as usual. I would've loved to have had the portobello mushroom and hallomi pitta, but it's no longer available. The food we ordered was still yummy, and the guy at the till managed to make us something similar to what we wanted.

Visited this morning and although the cafe was very busy at 11.15am the servers worked really hard to take everyone’s orders and keep the cafe clean, they were polite and attentive and we were really impressed. Food and drink were good and we tried the new Onion Bhaji wrap and it was wonderful!
Would definitely visit again!

After a stressful day and a day where I hadn't had chance to drink or eat all day.\nAfter leaving I thought I would get a Costa for on my way home as I had an hour and a bit drive to get home. \nI went into the store greeted by 2 lovely workers. Got my toastie and orange juice, went to pay and the points machine was down. That didn't matter too much then went to actually pay and payments were also down. I never carry cash, their was no cash points local and they had no other way of me paying. Aaron who was on at the time apologized, due to being unable pay any other way offered to pay for my food and drinks, I tried to transfer the money to him but I appreciate he would have to give me his bank details and he said.. please just give us a nice review! So here it is because after a very long day this certainly made it a nicer one and he definitely went above and beyond regarding customer service. I hope you get the money back through work Aaron or at least get some recognition. Thank you because it made my day. :)

Simply wonderful.
We really enjoyed Sunday lunch here last weekend. Reservations recommended as it was buzzing and busy when we arrived at 2:30pm.
Received a warm welcome from the staff and were shown to our table in the lovely restaurant building adjacent to the main pub area. Lovely, tastefully restrained decor throughout reflecting the sophisticated, upmarket style of this venue.
Our drinks order was taken quickly and all our party of three opted for Sunday roast dinner, with two opting for roast beef and one for pork. The beef arrived correctly cooked as one of our party opted for medium rare and the other selected the medium well option. All were served with the full trapping including correctly cooked vegetables, lovely roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings.
Portions are generous with plenty of meat. This left no room for desserts.
Great to see several cask ales on offer.
Staff excellent and attentive throughout.
Bottom line - would we go back? Yes, absolutely. Good value? Yes, at this price point.

The Warwickshire Lad

A special thank you to the staff for going above and beyond to deliver a level of service that’s almost unheard of these days. Although the pub was quite busy for 4pm on a Friday, the team went out of their way to help me find a quiet spot to meet a business contact in the restaurant area. I wasn’t a regular customer — just someone stopping in for a meeting unannounced and just purchasing two Coca-Colas — but the way they treated us made a lasting impression. I’ll definitely be back.

it's such a well managed place to go, the acts they have on are brilliant and it such a good atmosphere, I highly recommend this place. it is now our go to place on a Saturday for the live music.

The rooms a kind of unique and lovely,but keep in mind if any event will go on you might either not sleep early or you request for a room not directly over the pub. The staff and service was excellent. Food was delicious and if you like beer you can get there plenty.

Nelsons Fish & Chips

Passing through and popped in for to go food in the car. Service was fine and the fish was delicious. Chips were fine, but the pasty was prepackaged. Good for taking away, but not road trip food.

We visited the Blue Bell Cider House for Sunday dinner today, and it was an absolute treat from start to finish.
​The Food: Simply delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection—exactly what you want from a proper Sunday roast.
​The Service: The staff were wonderful. They were incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
​The Atmosphere: A special shout-out to Michelle, the owner. She is incredibly nice and clearly doing a fantastic job running the place. You can tell there is a lot of heart being put into the business.
​We had a brilliant time and will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and a welcoming vibe!

Food was absolutely perfect, service was exceptional. I do feel it’s rather expensive for what you get. Whilst it’s very nice, paying £14 for just a Kebab is rather expensive.

Cafe Chutneys Solihull

The food at 'Chutneys' was absolutely spot on, I'd go far as saying the best Indian we've ever had! My friend and I had a lovely dinner, everything was beautifully cooked and flavoursome, and it was all really fairly priced especially when considering the quality. Thank you to Little Mo, Shaun and Noyon for making it such an enjoyable evening and being so welcoming.
We are not local, but we would happily drive down from up North to come and eat here again!! ??⭐️

Fukuoka Japanese Restaurant

The best Takoyaki! We came in on a quiet Tuesday and the server was lovely, the restaurant has lovely decor and very authentic. The food was served within excellent time and did not disappoint, we will absolutely be returning again. Thank you for having us.

Panchuli Restaurant

Sonny served us and gave some good recommendations off the menu , nice cold cobra ? on tap . Food was really good and service was very prompt . We stayed close by in crowne plaza for one night , I had a look on google and the fact it was close by helped . I read the reviews and thought we’d give it a go . Thankfully we did me and my wife enjoyed . We’d travelled up from Wales that evening, a good hearty sit down Indian is just what the doctor ordered. Keep up the good work Sonny and staff .

Food was fantastic. Very generous portions. They gave extra food and listened to our requests. Will definitely order again. Couldn’t recommend a better place for an Indian takeaway.

Haslucks Fish Bar

Came up to visit my dad from Devon and we came here to get some fish and chips. He’s been multiple times and has never had a bad experience. We both got fish and chips and he got curry sauce and it was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend this place more. The prices were good, not too expensive, and they cooked the fish for you pretty much on arrival. Jane, the lovely lady who served us, was helpful and went through all the options available and was so kind. I cannot recommend this place enough. Please come here if you’re ever in Shirley or live nearby!

Dietary restrictions: They accommodate to all allergies, just make sure you tell them when ordering, which is usual practice.

Parking: Easy to park and go in, no problems at all, even though it was busy!

Visited earlier today with my family and had a wonderful time. Service was great, lovely decor and very homely. Tables arent crammed together like alot of cafes which is a nice change.

I came here with my husband last week and before our meal we spent some time at the bar. Millie was working and served us in a polite and respectful manner. The service was great, everything ran smoothly, and the experience was very pleasant.

THE DINGLE

The Dingle is a good pub to go to if you are visiting Solihull and the vicinity. It has got a good sized beer garden. The staff will sort out any problems for you in an efficient way, so thanks to the Dingle, this Friday was okay. I met friendly people in this local pub.

Absolutely fantastic service. I ordered a coffee stating my train was due. It turned up slightly earlier and I said I’ll have to leave it. The cashier said I’ll refund you and 2 minutes later, the barista has found me on the train handing me that coffee! How caring and fantastic customer service! Thanks so so much. Xxx

Quiet patking with plenty of parking spaces all the time. Local and international drivers are using this place as well.
It works very well with SNAP account , not sure about the card or cash payment.

Well well well, they’ve done it. Screw you colonel sanders and your secret blend or herbs and spices. Dixie’s on hurst st have stolen it for sure. Not sure if they kidnapped a staff member or broke into the safe but they definitely know how to make finger licking chicken. The staff were great with me and accommodated all my needs despite my obvious disability. I was very pleased to hug all of you and hope this goes to the next level. Love Charlie from Scotland xx

I will only ever go to this shop as there’s a particular store colleague there called Aaron (I think that’s his name, apologies if not). His customer service is superb. He goes above and beyond and can’t do enough to help you. Nothing is too much trouble. He’s so warm and welcoming. Such a lovely person. He’s a pleasure to deal with. I wish all customer service staff were just like him. Well done Greggs for employing such an amazing employee. He deserves every bit of recognition. Will continue to frequent your Solihull High Street shop whilst you have amazing staff like that serving.

Costa Coffee

I visited this costa on Saturday 18/10/2025 and although I have always enjoyed a latte from there quite frequently, I managed to find a new love for a sweet treat (which is the Halloween cornflake cake), recommended to me by the lovely Mia on the service window. She was so bubbly and kind which I needed due to a disappointing start to my weekend :( she asked me how I was and was very intrigued and enthusiastic with me regarding what I was planning on doing with my day. She is an asset to Shirley Costa Coffee and I would love to know that she gets recognition and praise for being such a wonderful and caring young lady. She changed the trajectory of my day so made my Saturday, and my drink ;), a little bit sweeter by just being so lovely. It is worth the price you pay for the drink/snack just to interact with this exceptional Costa employee that goes above and beyond. Thank you Mia!!

We went to the white Swan on various nights in the last few weeks .Found it busy at weekends and also Found a lot of teenagers in the pub ,prices are cheaper than everywhere else around there so attracts the younger clientele. Its knowing the right time to go in to find what your looking for.The bar staff are excellent,food is just basic but have a good selection of alachol. Great place to meet and drink cheaply..

The Veggie Supreme was absolutely delicious.
Loaded with fresh vegetables, perfectly balanced flavors, and a great crust.
You don’t miss the meat at all. One of the best veggie pizzas I’ve had.
