Been using this Fish and Chip shop for over 20 years and not ever had a bad meal. Can pre-order online making it incredibly easy to use as it can get very busy at peak times like a Friday evening. I fully recommend them.

9 of us went for a 40th birthday meal but unfortunately most of the food was poor. All of the pizzas were terrible, they were difficult to cut even with a pizza cutter. They asked if we wanted the leftovers put in a box to take away but in my opinion the only place to put them was the bin! I had fish and chips which should not be hard to get right but there was under cooked batter and I actually felt quite unwell for most of the night and the next day. At nearly £18 for this dish I would expect it to be perfect. I live on the east coast and we can get 2 good portions of fresh fish and chips for less than the price of this dish. My wife's dish was a chicken dish but it was tasteless. Fortunately I was not paying the bill because if I was I would have been speaking to the manager first. Would I recommend this place, NO. Would I go back, NO. You get one chance to impress customers and they failed miserably!

Queues are so long and the £7.50 donner meat and chips was shockingly small. Paid extra for the large as well ?? don’t waste your money

I can’t remember the last time I received service as bad as this. Nelsons in HH was too busy so I thought I’d try the Shelly. It was empty when I arrived and I began to realise why. There was a young lady at the till who failed to acknowledge me. She finally took my order but had to wait for another lady to get my food. Her attitude was awful. Hopefully this is taken constructively and addressed by the management. However, I will not be returning anytime soon. If you want to be treated as if you actually exist and with some gratitude, give this place a miss
Agree with other comments on here about the rude staff. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you like that kind of treatment.

Been here a number of times and seen the rudeness of the lady owner to other customers. Today I received the extremely unnecessary rude service from her today and can only say that it was uncalled for and I will not be returning. I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you like to be treated in this way.
