My partner and I came here for lunch on Easter Sunday. We booked through the website. The restaurant is located right in the centre of Solihull. Unfortunately, there is no parking. We opted to sit at the counter so we could watch the "theatre of food" as per the slogan above the door.We had the three course lunch. To fire our tastebuds off, the chef presented us with a delicious onion cracker with Old Winchester, which is a cheese we had not heard off before. I then had the crab coronation, and my partner went for the salmon. I did order a nice glass of white wine to go with my crab, but it was so tasty, I totally forgot to drink the wine with it, ha ha.We then tried some bread and homemade butter. Which was nice. Standard practice in most fine dining establishments now, I think.I then had the lobster and scallop wrapped in cod. My partner had roast beef. Both dishes were well presented and were cooked to perfection. The Yorkshire pudding was stuffed with beef too.I went for the cheese board after, not necessarily for the cheese though, as I have never tried date cake before. I really liked the cake, although I thought the cheese wasn't strong enough to punch through the strong flavour of the dates. I really enjoyed it.We both opted for the chocolate dessert. It looked nice, but I found it too much. Very chocolatey and very sweet. It was like an oreo covered in Nutella. We were both impressed with the kitchen. It was well lit and very clean. We enjoyed watching the chefs at work, although I would hardly call it a "theatre of food". You don't really see much. The chefs back blocks the view of the food prep. If you are short in stature, you will not be able to see over the top of the counter. I am 5ft 10 and I could barely see.The chefs and waitress were very talkative and friendly. We loved the decor and the lighting. I was happy with the reasonable price. We are definitely looking forward to returning to try their dinner menu.

Fabulous food and Phoebe our server was lovely! The dishes were well explained. Loved the seafood dishes. Flavours hit the spot and presentation was eye catching. The desserts were my favourite! I would definitely recommend!

A most delightful journey of tastes and texture, the nicest restaurant experience we have had in quite a while. Would highly recommend Toffs to anyone without question.

Visited for a celebratory birthday lunch. Exceptional restaurant. Every morsel exquisite. Imaginative yet simple menu - best ingredients in the hands of some real culinary talent.
Came for 5 course lunch, and have already recommended it to others and absolutely wouldn’t hesitate to come back for either lunch or dinner. Each course was a masterclass in refinement, technical skill, restraint and precision and it was all just so good! The five courses plus amuse bouche were beautifully well balanced and we left gently arguing about which was our favourite course. The bread takes me all the way back to when my Dad used to bring home cottage loaves with an extra tasty crusty top. Chicken liver parfait was stellar. Similar to a dish served at another restaurant but with a more textural element contrasting the light as air parfait with the crunch of the chicken skin granola type topping. The fish was a surprise (I wouldn’t have thought of pairing mushrooms with fish) but it delicious with a salty skin and the mushrooms taking on a soy like pickle flavour I can’t really describe. But my favourite was the beef - everything on that plate punched well above its weight. From the parsley sauce, unctuous gravy, perfectly cooked fillet and the potato pave layered with meat meaning that it didn’t just turn into indistinguishable mush, but also was like having the best cottage pie of your life on your plate. Special thanks too to the front of house - discrete, smooth service. I know it’s prob not very trendy to be writing reviews like this, and there is a split in the hospitality industry on whether they’re a good thing or just done by onanists, but credit where it’s due - Toffs are really producing some excellent food and the more recognition they get, the better!

Went last week for my 3rd wedding anniversary. We chose the chefs counter rather than a table and it was worth it. Got to ask so many questions and see how the kitchen functioned. Amazing food, great service. Definitely worth a visit

We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Toffs. Each course was a delight - hard to pick a favourite. The venue is small enough for diners to experience personal service with staff genuinely interested, knowledgable and concerned to ensure that all diners enjoy the experience. There is a good, but not overwhelming, wine list as well as the option of a drinks pairing. A real gem offering exceptional , locally sourced food

Not eaten hereSince this restaurant has opened, the flats above and opposite, have to deal with the noise at least 3 days a week, either the customers are being loud outside while smoking or the restaurant door slamming shut every time someone comes and goes, please can you sort this out, when people have work and have to be up at 4 am, this is not pleasant for the people who live here.
