Gastropubs • “I love the B&C and always enjoy the food. Unfortunately I took 2 friends yesterday for lunch and it was quite disappointing. The service was good and we were asked if everything was ok and we said it was. There were others eating in the garden room and I didn't want to make a fuss. I had coronation chicken sandwich and there was sauce oozing over the plate but in all I had 3 really tiny pieces of chicken. One of my friends had the pork starter with gem leaves and pork only. No crispy noodles nor any decoration whatsoever . Looked very unappetising and I recommended it as I had had it before! The fish and chips were fine. We come to lunch there on a fairly regular basis and it was the first time I've been disappointed.”

Had fish and chips main....luckily was full from starter as the chips had been salted and I don't do salt and the fish was beautiful but the batter was extremely greasy”
