I love the B&C and always enjoy the food. Unfortunately I took 2 friends yesterday for lunch and it was quite disappointing. The service was good and we were asked if everything was ok and we said it was. There were others eating in the garden room and I didn't want to make a fuss. I had coronation chicken sandwich and there was sauce oozing over the plate but in all I had 3 really tiny pieces of chicken. One of my friends had the pork starter with gem leaves and pork only. No crispy noodles nor any decoration whatsoever . Looked very unappetising and I recommended it as I had had it before! The fish and chips were fine. We come to lunch there on a fairly regular basis and it was the first time I've been disappointed.

I feel I always write the same as there's nothing I can complain or moan about here. The quality and quantity of the food is always amazing, the staff are always efficient and helpful. As always yet another wonderful Sunday lunch

An absolutely amazing experience here as usual. Out with friends and they were truly impressed with the standard of service, food and drinks. The sea food platter for 2 went down a treat our friends said it was the best he'd ever had. Chicken supreme was amazing and then the deserts well gorgeous.
Overall we had a very pleasant evening. The staff were friendly and welcoming, unfortunately , on a couple of occasions we had to remind the staff that we had ordered drinks which had clearly been forgotten , this could possibly be to the configuration of the building. The menu was varied and a range of dishes to suit most palates.

A lovely venue, good service. Noise level was of our own making as we were a large group of old friends, however we were wisely placed away from others. Lunch menu had a lot of sandwiches but everyone seemed to enjoy their choice.

I visited for lunch with my friend. We chose to have light dishes and starters to share. We sit outside as it was warm. When it started to rain, the staff were all so accommodating and charming. The food was utterly delicious as ever, really beautiful flavours and a delicious glass of French provencale rosé. Thank you all.
