Excellent Staff excellent food excellent atmosphere. Had a lovely meal here tonight and the staff are lovely. Actually so sad to read the below review with 1 star as I know the staff member that this was aimed at, who is actually autistic (so has a disability themselves) but does a great job and is very friendly and professional. Would encourage all to visit when in the area as you won’t be disappointed. Merry Christmas!

We had a Christmas meal. The food was lovely but presentation could have been better. Everything was put on the plate in the kitchen with the exception of vegetables. I for one don't like cooked red cabbage or cranberry sauce, both of which were on the plate and gravy had also been added. It would have been better if all the vegetables, gravy and sauces could have been served separately so that the diner could make their own choices.

Country pub sited next to a stream, popular with ramblers & walkers serving great food from the main menu & specials board including fish & game. Real ale also on offer. Well worth dropping in for a bite to eat & a glass of ale, wine or a cocktail.

The unprofessional waiter, as if i was a child, made aeroplane noises as he placed my meal on the table. I do not appreciate this as i have struggled with disability all my life. Do not go here!

Just a group of friends having lunch together and it was really lovely food. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. If there was a problem I really don’t like dogs in restaurants although I do appreciate the pub side is a walkers pub and therefore dogs are companions . However I really don’t think that they should be near to diners. All in all it was a super lunch. Thank you very much to the staff.

Perfect casual pub food served by lovely staff. Lots of interesting choices mixed in with pub classics and lite lunch.Vegetarian options: Quite a lot of choicesParking: It's only a small pub with just the right amount of parking, if you're going at a busy time I'd imagine you want to book.Kid-friendliness: Good kids choices

Absolutely fabulous place. Never had a bad meal, drinks are excellent and not over priced. Food is brilliant. The staff, Michelle front end and Chef Craig very pleasant, happy to help and make you feel special. Tonight I had the steak better than miller and carter. Only thing missing was the onion loaf. You need to try this place to fully appreciate it. Come along and enjoy. You certainly won't regret it. Happy dining :)

Had Sunday lunch today for 14 of my family. For hubbys 60th birthday- from start to finish it was wonderful- everything about it. The staff are more than pleasant, service second to none and the chef should be Michelin star he/she should be proud, I have to say the food was the best I have tasted for a long time. All of my family agreed. The monkfish scampi was to die for. Thank you for a very memorable afternoon xxxWhat a lovely quaint cosy pub….open fire a big bonus on a cold day ❤️Lesley Crumpton
