Went to the Bistro New year's day and even though it was very busy the good was as good as ever. Staff are so friendly, Well worth a visit if walking in Sutton Park.

Plenty of space to sit - we were outside with dogs but huge parasols to keep the whole area dry and cushions too - Baileys latte was the best!

We went for walk in Sutton Park today in the snow and ended up at the Blackroot Bistro. We had a hot chocolate to warm up us. Then decided to eat. What an amazing breakfast they served. I had a full English and my partner had a breakfast burger. The sausages were really tasty and I had black pudding which was a real treat as I can’t remember the last time that is included in a breakfast. Even though it was quite busy, service was quick and everyone was friendly. We will be back to try the lunch menu and recommend it to anyone who is in the area.

I recently met a friend here for a coffee and a chat. The service was good however, my understanding is that they are open for business until 3pm so imagine my surprise when at 2.30pm, I looked around to see every empty table with upturned chairs on them. Thankfully we had finished our lunch but there was another couple who were still eating! A second couple came in 5 minutes later and had to lift a chair off the table in order to sit down. How rude of the staff to make customers feel so unwelcome in this way, they clearly have other priorities.

Food and service were good but they cannot cater for allergies, which meant my daughter was unable to have a meal.Dietary restrictions: They are unable to cater for any allergies

Nice small cafe. Had a lovely coffee and Sausage & Egg Sandwich. The whole process is a bit slow to order as the queue was massive, mainly consisting of people having takeaway drinks. The sandwiches came out about before the drinks and by the time they came we had finished the food.Very busy, maybe too busy so need more staff or a better process to speed up everything but overall, a nice place in the park to visit.

Just love this place…lovely walk from our house and on the edge of Blackroot Pool. The location is stunningly beautiful. Staff super friendly. We had sausage sandwich and full English breakfast…quick service given how busy they were. The coffee is really good… a local supplier I see from the menu. Talking local, they sell honey from Sutton Park. Only one toilet but it was spotlessly clean. A gem in one of the best parks in the UK… will definitely be back.

Lovely location, nice staff, however, after half a hour wait the food we received was a very poor standard. Bacon was so over cooked it hurt my teeth when I bit into my sandwich and the sausages were burnt black. Staff agreed it was unacceptable and refunded me. For such a lovely location it’s disappointing that such a simple thing was cooked wrong. We dined with our dog and a lot of dogs were running around off the lead in the cafe area which is frustrating but understanding this isn’t something the bistro can control.

Generally good. The 'full english' (£9) isnt full at all....had one sausage and one slice of bacon (see photo - can you find the good stuff??), so it's was a let down. Other dishes are good...avo smash with egg was a hit.

The food was unreal, and the tuna sandwich was amazing. We love the bistro sooooo much. It’s always a great experience!

Very, very busy place to eat, but not surprising really when you see what a beautiful location it is in. Only one toilet available for staff and customers so it can sometimes be a long wait to use the facilities - be aware!!

I recently went to the Blackfoot bistro after a 15 mile run with friends last Saturday. Hasten to add after our run we were ready for breakfast! The service was great and they couldn’t do enough to help us. We found ourselves a nice table and ordered our full English breakfasts. I can honestly say the food was brilliant washed down with a lovely drop of tea. Anyone visiting the park should pop in and take a seat.
