Food was lukewarm service was terrible, when we mentioned the cold food we were told hot chips would follow, half an hour no chips we asked where they were by then we just settled for a free pudding would not go again we have learnt our lesson to check reviews first.

So we walked into the pub with family and our children and wasn’t greeted by anybody even though staff seen us and there was nobody at the bar at the time. We took it upon ourselves to walk to the bar and wait for service. At this point we are still yet to be acknowledged by any staff members. What really grounded my gears is the fact that once other people got to the bar, white people might just add, they were given such amazing customer service. Us being black were left at the back. After waiting we were finally unwillingly approached, we were then given the same of has anybody got ID situation, which I’m not being funny, everyone who’s is part of the group ranges from 30-41 excluding the children. This was of course his way of legally being funny with us as he didn’t like the look of us. We eventually just gave up on the place by this point and I then requested the name of the male manager who then refused to give us his name, probably be a he knew how rude he had been to us. I then asked for the other manager for her name she informed me it was Katy? With a smile. She seemed to have a better understanding of what customer service is. We visited around 7:25 on 9/10/21. Extremely upset and in shock with the service we were provided. Would be 0 star if it could be tbh. Regards, Kia

The Jensen Interceptor, the car this pub is named after, was sleek, fast, powerful and gave most people a smile on their face. That’s where the similarity ends. We decided to grab breakfast here whilst in town having never been in before. The place was virtually empty so we found a table and scanned the menu. Went to the bar to order where there were three staff; one serving, another seemingly preparing drinks and the other standing talking. The first finished serving while the others did their best to ignore me, then adding “Ill be with you in a couple of minutes”. This seemed to spur on his colleague who then decided to ask what I wanted. First issue, noticed only after paying, was that we had been charged for an “upgrade” without being asked - a standard orange juice could be added for £1.20 whilst you could “upgrade” to large for an extra 30p. I was never asked, but charged £1.50 each anyway. That is not good customer service, not at all. The food took an age, almost 30 minutes for two absolutely standard full English breakfasts. When they did arrive, they were less than good. The bacon looked like it had been prepared on the same (dirty) grill as last nights burgers, etc, the sausage we discovered did have the name “pork” in its description but to what degree I’m not sure and tasted like last nights, our mushrooms were almost stone cold as were the beans, the hash browns were pretty much hot but loaded with fat and the eggs were runny - VERY runny. Even my “upgraded” toast was just a dried up piece of bread that broke and crumbled when trying to cut it, more like a crispbread. The server did come round and ask if everything was OK and we respectfully made comment that it could be better, highlighting the cold mushrooms. His answer was that “if we can do anything to improve things, just ask”. What he could have said was “OK, well let me take them away and get things improved”. Here is an idea, take note of this review and others and do something about it rather than just add a management reply with a glad, sorry, sure slant. This is a Greene King pub. We have eaten in a number of their places around the country and each time was miles better than this. Looking at the nature of reviews where a large percentage had a “terrible” rating I think they need to address things.

Great food, great service. Value for money. Couldn’t ask for more.

Would have been 0 stars if I could, booked for a meal for my sons 18th when we arrived sign said find a table but as we had booked we went to the bar, stood there for 10 minutes being ignored before I shouted up we are next. We used the app to order 2 sharing starters and 8 mains. Starters arrived in a good time but had things missing so had to ask for them, once finished we waited and waited eventually after about 30 minutes I asked for an update, lady came back saying just plating up but still left starter plates. 10 minutes later food arrived mix it ups on supposedly sizzling plates that we could pick up, gammon that was nearly black, big breakfast that was luke warm with undercooked eggs and congealed cold sauces. By this time we had been there nearly 2 hours so didn't want to wait again for fresh food and asked for a refund. Lady came over and said I've refunded you normally I wouldn't be bothered but it's been a bad night. Never known service or food like it won't be going there again.

Great food, great service reasonably priced. Food comes hot and didn’t wait long at all. Used the app which was easy to set up.

My two daughters visited here yesterday my 6 year old had the mac & cheese off the children's menu, by the evening she was in pain with tummy ache, and I do apologise for the graphic term, her bowl movements were illuminated green, it's now 11am the following morning and she's very poorly, tried calling the interceptor and no answer, I have left a voice mail to call me back and had no response, if a toddler were to eat this they could end up hospitalised, I am reporting to the department of health simply through no contact, AVOID AVOID

food was very poor. Organisation was worse. One child meal came out with the kids starter. Then waited 30 minutes to get the other kids meal and our food. order 2 steaks 1x rare and 1x medium. Got a well done and a medium. Double burger, have of it was edible, one of the patties was burnt and hard. Spoke with the assistant manager who apologised but didn't seem concerned. He said we should've asked for a new one, but after waiting 40 minutes for the food we had I didn't fancy my chances.

Am a wheelchair user with an assistance dog. Have visited here twice recently. On both occasions I found staff welcoming, helpful and very positive. Food is good, a bit pricey but the specials were good and better than other places nearby (price-wise). Restaurant very accommodating about my assistance dog- so accommodating a member of the wait staff bought her an ice cream on a very hot day! It would be nice if at least one table was able to be raised as the tables are low for my wheelchair. All in all, this is a nice place with good food, and superb staff who do their best to make it a good experience. To be honest, they can't do enough for you- and they are very attentive.

4 stars given purely because of a certain waitress named toni. She was exceptional at her job and did everything that the other waitresses couldn't be bothered to do. Even when we had no straws she went to a shop to buy some. The manager was great when we had problems and came and spoke to us but in all honesty if it wasn't for Toni then this review would've been very different. Seriously need to review who you decide to become duty managers because the one on Sunday evening was the rudest man I've ever met. Such a shame when the food was lovely. Thank you to Toni for all her hardwork!
