Typical Wetherspoons, good selection of ales including a few milds, and standard menu. The building has been very sympathetically converted and has retained its original front.

Off hand bar staff, not very friendly. Just seems to be one big room, no quiet corners. Didn't like to stay too long. Not a good atmosphere.

Varied menu but somewhat pricey for portion sizes (Full English&American style breakfasts, traditional "pub grub" dinners, steaks&burgers etc 🍴🍜 🍔), however, frequent discounted offers available (Thursday curry club 🍛 12oz steaks £8.99!😃). From students to senior citizens, many are drawn to the FREE REFILL policy on hot drinks ☕ which creates a pleasantly sociable coffee shop atmosphere alongside family dining 🍴 Although extremely popular, it is a relaxing setting free from 'bustle',(even on match days! ⚽) despite its central location directly opposite West Bromwich bus station 🚌

As always, the staff were really friendly. My wife was using a wheelchair today and customers were helpful opening the doors for her. Thank you.

Proper boozer feel to this place, you can smell the piss on entry even though the toilets are at the opposite end of a long building that used to be a snooker club.

Lydia Johns

Good little pub prices are good staff very friendly tea and coffee are the cheapest in West Bromwich and free refills

Bruce Cornwall

As always excellent food and obliging friendly service. The only negative is an old boy with a voice like a foghorn who incessantly whistles tunelessly and loudly. Plus the odd local custom of holding a conversation with people three tables away.

I first visited this place in 1973 when it a billards snooker hall run by a little old lady. Then was modernized a few years ago. A great meeting place for family and friends. It's open at 7 am over the Xmas period. Darts and pool table bar games available.
